ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಹೆರಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಜನನಿ’ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಶಿಶುವಿಹಾರ: 60ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಿಪಿಎಲ್ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೇ 9, 2025 – ಎನ್‌ಆರ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಹೆರಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಜನನಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಶಿಶುವಿಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಸತ್ಯ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿತು, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿರುವ 60ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಿಪಿಎಲ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಪರಿಸರವಾದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜಸೇವಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೇವತಿ ಕಾಮತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, “ತಾಯ್ತನವು ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಸಮಾಜದ ಆಧಾರಸ್ಥಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರನ್ನು ಶಕ್ತಿಮತಿಯಾಗಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಹೆರಿಗೆಗಾಗಿ ತಯಾರಾಗಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಸವನಗುಡಿ ಶಾಸಕ ರವಿ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ, ಮಾಜಿ ಮೇಯರ್ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ (ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಸತ್ಯ), ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತ ಸ್ತ್ರೀರೋಗ ತಜ್ಞೆ ಡಾ. ವಿದ್ಯಾ ವಿ. ಭಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಡಾ. ವಿದ್ಯಾ ವಿ. ಭಟ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, “ತಾಯಂದಿರಿಗೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದು, ಗರ್ಭಾವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಹೆರಿಗೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತೇಜನೆ ನೀಡುವುದು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಸೀರೆ, ಬಳೆ, ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು, ಪ್ರೋಟೀನ್ ಪೌಡರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಟೇನ್‌ಲೆಸ್ ಸ್ಟೀಲ್ ಪ್ಲೇಟ್ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಇಂತಹ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಶಿಶುವಿಹಾರ (ಸೀಮಂತ) ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ತಾಯ್ತನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರುವುದನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ದೈಹಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಅಭಿಯಾನದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.

Janani: Community Baby Shower for 60 Underprivileged Women Held at BBMP Maternity Hospital

Bengaluru, May 9, 2025 — A special community baby shower event titled Janani was held at the BBMP Maternity Hospital in NR Colony, celebrating motherhood and supporting over 60 pregnant women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The program was organized by the Radhakrishna Foundation, in association with the Katte Sathya Foundation.

All participating women were BPL card holders in their late stages of pregnancy (more than five months). Each of them received a thoughtful gift hamper consisting of a saree, bangles, fruits, protein powder, and a stainless-steel plate—aimed at providing both care and encouragement during a crucial time in their maternal journey.

Mrs. Revathi Kamath, noted environmentalist and philanthropist, was the Chief Guest at the event. “Motherhood is the foundation of any healthy society,” she said in her address. “It is heartening to see initiatives like this that empower women with knowledge, nutrition, and medical attention.”

Other dignitaries present included Shri Ravi Subramanya, MLA, Basavanagudi; Shri B.S. Satyanarayana (Katte Sathya), former Mayor and President of the Katte Sathya Foundation; and Dr. Vidya V. Bhat, Chairman of Radhakrishna Foundation and Medical Director of RadhaKrishna Multispecialty Hospital.

Dr. Vidya V. Bhat remarked, “This initiative is about honoring motherhood, educating expectant mothers on pregnancy care, checking their health status, and promoting safe, hospital-based deliveries. Such efforts go a long way in ensuring healthy outcomes for both mothers and babies.”

The Radhakrishna Foundation has been consistently organizing such community baby shower (Seemantha) events as part of its ongoing commitment to maternal health and well-being.

Amity University Bengaluru is all set to host Amigloria 2025, a grand inter-institutional cultural festival on May 9 and 10 at its expansive 70-acre campus in Devanahalli. The two-day event promises a spectacular showcase of youth creativity, talent, and cultural vibrance.

A part of the globally renowned Amity Education Group, Amity University Bengaluru is known for its emphasis on academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. The upcoming fest aligns with the university’s mission to blend academic rigor with dynamic co-curricular engagement.

This year’s theme, “Amigloria – Blending Modernity with Tradition,” seeks to honor India’s rich cultural roots while embracing contemporary forms of artistic expression. The event will feature a diverse lineup of competitions in performing arts, literary and oratory skills, fashion and creativity, visual and cinematic arts, and business contests.

ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ 2669ನೇ ಬುದ್ಧ ಜಯಂತಿ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಭಿಕ್ಕು ಸಂಘದ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಮೇ 12ರಂದು ನಡೆಯುವ ಬುದ್ಧ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಲೋಕಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ ಮೇ 6ರಿಂದ ಮೇ 12ರವರೆಗೆ “ಬೋಧಿ ಸಪ್ತಾಹ”ವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರ, ಯಶವಂತಪುರ, ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರಂ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಬಡವರ ಕಾಲೋನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬೋಧಿ ಸಪ್ತಾಹವು ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಭಿಕ್ಕು ಸಂಘವು ಈ ಏಳು ಕಾಲೋನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ “ಬೋಧಿ ಪ್ರವಚನ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ.
ಬುದ್ಧ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ದಿನವಾದ ಮೇ 12ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8:30ಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಪುರದ ಗೌತಮ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಿಂದ ಬುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ “ಬೋಧಿರಥ”ದ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯು ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ಈ ರಥವು ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ಏಳು ನಿಗದಿತ ಕಾಲೋನಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 12 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸದಾಶಿವನಗರದ ನಾಗಸೇನಾ ಬುದ್ಧ ವಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಲಿದೆ. ನಂತರ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧ ಜಯಂತಿ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ನೆರವೇರಲಿದೆ.
ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮೇ 6ರಿಂದ ವಿಶೇಷ “ಪಬ್ಬಜ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ”ವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಬೌದ್ಧ ತತ್ವಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಂತಕರಿಂದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಮೇ 9ರಂದು ಮಹಾಬೋಧಿ ಬುದ್ಧ ವಿಹಾರದ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಆನಂದ ಭಂತೇಜಿ ಅವರು ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರವಚನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬುದ್ಧ ಜಯಂತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳಾದ ಮೂಡ್ಯಾಕ್ಕೋಡು ಚಿನ್ನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳಾದ ಬಿ.ಟಿ.ಲಲಿತಾ ನಾಯಕ್ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ವೆಂಕಟಸ್ವಾಮಿ (ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು), ವರಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಭಂತೇಜಿ (ಹಿರಿಯ ಬಿಕ್ಕುಗಳು, ನಾಗಸೇನಾ ಬುದ್ಧ ವಿಹಾರ), ಡಾ. ಹೆಚ್. ಆರ್. ಸುರೇಂದ್ರ (ಹಿರಿಯ ಧಮ್ಮಾಚಾರಿಗಳು, ನಾಗಸೇನಾ ಬುದ್ಧ ವಿಹಾರ) ಮತ್ತು ಬುದ್ಧಮ್ಮ (ನಿವಾಸಿ ಬಿಕ್ಕುಣಿ, ನಾಗಸೇನಾ ಬುದ್ಧ ವಿಹಾರ) ಅವರು ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
