Sri Raghavendra Tirtha Gurusarvabhouma’s 430th Birth Anniversary “Laksha Pushparchane” (Offering of One Lakh Flowers)

Bengaluru: At the Nanjanagudu Sri Raghavendra Swamy Math located in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, under the order of His Holiness Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru, and led by Sri R.K. Vadindracharya, the senior administrator of the Math, a grand celebration of Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Vardhanti Utsava (birth anniversary) was held. The program included Phala Panchamrita Abhishekam (ritualistic bathing with fruit and five sacred substances) to Sri Gururaya’s Brundavana (tomb) and a special “Laksha Pushparchane” (offering of one lakh flowers) with Ashtottara recitation.

The “Pushparchane” was performed by Sri Krishna Gundacharya, the Dharmadhikari of the Math, and the priests Ramachandracharya and Krishnacharya. Sri Nandakishoracharya, the priest of the Math, provided this information. Following this, a concluding program of “Sri Raghavendra Vijaya” discourse was given by Dr. Venkatanarasimhacharya. The idol of Sri Prahlada Raja was placed on a golden throne, and Guru Padapooja (worship of the Guru’s feet), Kanakabhisheka (golden anointing), and Mahamangalarati (grand final ritual) were performed by the Math.

Sankalpa (resolutions) were made for the devotees and service performers, and Sheshavastra (sacred cloth), Sri Guru Raya’s Paduke (footwear), Phala Mantrakshate (fruit and sacred rice) were distributed as Prasad (blessed offering). On this occasion, special Annasantarpane (mass feeding) was arranged for over 20,000 devotees who visited the shrine. The Prasad distribution was conducted with excellent arrangements and the cooperation of volunteers and staff. Devotees, service performers, dignitaries, and others received the Tirtha Prasada, Phala Mantrakshate, and received the blessings of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 6, 2025 – ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅನೌಪಚಾರಿಕ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಆಯುವವರ ಜೊತೆಗಿನ ಏಕತೆಯ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ನಗರದ ಎಲೆಮರೆ ಕಾಯಿಗಳಾದ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಗಳು, ಸಂಭವ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಕ್ರೈಸ್ಟ್ ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ ಬನ್ನೇರುಘಟ್ಟ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಲಿಬರಲ್ ಆರ್ಟ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 11, 2025 ರಂದು ಮನಮೋಹಕವಾದ ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ-ನವರಸ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಹಿನಿಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ವಿಶ್ವಾದ್ಯಂತ ಇರುವ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಆಯುವವರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲು ಮೀಸಲಾದ ದಿನವಾದ-ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಆಯುವವರ ದಿನದೊಂದಿಗೆ (ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 1) ಜೋಡಣೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ; ಇದು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ, ಸಮರ್ಥನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಗೆ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾದ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ನವರಸ, ಲಿಬರಲ್ ಆರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ-ಚಾಲಿತ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವು, ಮನದ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸಲು ಸಂಗೀತ, ನೃತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ರಂಗಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ, ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಲ್ಲೀನಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತಹ ಕಥೆಯ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಇದು ಈ ಕುಶಲಕರ್ಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ಮೀಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ವಿಶೇಷ 15 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರವು ಅವರ ಕಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರೂಪದ, ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ನೋಟವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ-ತಮ್ಮ ಗಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಜೀವನೋಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿರುವ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಆಯುವವರ ಹೋರಾಟಗಳು, ಸ್ಥಿತಿಸ್ಥಾಪಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಗೆಲುವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇದು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Bangalore, 4 March 2025: Aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clarion call to combat obesity, Novo Nordisk Education Foundation (NNEF) and Embassy REIT celebrated the one-year anniversary of their pioneering workplace health initiative ‘NovoHealth@EmbassyManyata’ – a weekly 5K run club at Embassy Manyata Business Park- on the occasion of World Obesity Day 2025. Key speakers at the event included obesity expert Prof Dr David Macklin of the University of Toronto, Vikrant Shrotriya – Managing Trustee, NNEF and Ritwik Bhattacharjee – Chief Executive Officer, Embassy REIT. The event also witnessed CEOs and other senior executives from leading companies coming together to deliberate on the cause of workplace health. Launched on World Obesity Day 2024 for over 100,000 employees of Embassy Manyata Business Park, NovoHealth@EmbassyManyata has inspired corporate employees across the park to adopt an active lifestyle, thus making significant strides in India’s mission to defeat obesity.

Collectively, the participants have covered an impressive distance of approximately 30,000 kilometers, showcasing their dedication to an active lifestyle. NovoHealth@EmbassyManyata offers a professional running experience to the participants by offering bib tags for timing, warm up and zumba sessions and motivational talks by professionals including athletes, ultra-runners, nutritionists and healthcare professionals. The initiative has also enabled BMI checks for runners at regular intervals for them to track their progress.

As NovoHealth@EmbassyManyata embarks on its second year, the initiative remains committed to its vision of bending the obesity curve in India and creating a healthier, more active society.
