Historic Confluence of Seers at Jayanagar Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt Brings Decades-Old Dispute to a Peaceful Close


Bengaluru: A long-standing legal and spiritual dispute between the Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt and the Uttaradi Mutt, relating to the worship of the Yatis at the Navabrindavana in Anegondi, has now been officially and amicably resolved, bringing immense relief and joy to devotees.

For several decades, the issue had been the subject of legal proceedings, including a case before the Hon’ble Supreme Court. During this prolonged period, devotees of both Mutts were troubled by uncertainty and emotional distress. However, in a historic and heartwarming development, the heads of both Mutts came together at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, marking a new chapter of harmony and mutual respect.

On this auspicious occasion, the pontiff of the Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt warmly received the pontiff of the Uttaradi Mutt with floral showers and traditional honours. The seers together offered Mangalarati to Sri Raghavendra Swamy and, in the presence of their disciples, held cordial discussions and formally signed a harmonious agreement, thereby putting an end to the long-pending dispute and dispelling the anxieties of devotees.

This significant development was shared in a press statement by Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt’s Power of Attorney, Sri R. K. Vadindra Acharya, who stated that the unity and mutual understanding demonstrated by both pontiffs had brought great happiness and reassurance to disciples and devotees alike.

The occasion was graced by the presence of several revered seers and scholars, including the pontiff of Kudli Mutt, and eminent scholars such as Raja S. Giriyacharya, Guttala Rangacharya, N. Thousands of Devotees Seek Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Blessings on New Year


Bengaluru: Marking the New Year with devotion and faith, thousands of devotees thronged the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt at Jayanagar 5th Block to seek the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
On the auspicious Thursday, special abhisheka and other rituals were performed under the divine guidance and blessings of Parama Poojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Teertha Sripadangalavaru, and under the leadership of the Mutt’s senior administrator R.K. Vadeendracharya. The rituals were conducted in a spiritually charged atmosphere, drawing a massive gathering of devotees.

As part of the special New Year observances, the Brindavana of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy was adorned with Navaratna Kavacha and floral decorations. A newly installed Navaratna idol of Guru Raghavendra Swamy placed in front of the Brindavana was offered special worship. In addition, special poojas were performed to Lord Srinivasa seated on a golden throne and King Prahlada in a golden cradle, informed chief priest Sri Nandakishoracharya.

Thousands of devotees visited the sanctum, lit lamps, offered prayers and archana, and received Theertha, Phala, Mantrakshate and Annasantharpane Mahaprasada, seeking the divine grace of Sri Raghavendra Swamy on the occasion of the New Year.
The Mutt had made meticulous arrangements to ensure smooth darshan and distribution of prasada, enabling devotees to move in an orderly manner despite the heavy rush. Devotees expressed immense satisfaction with the well-organised facilities and lauded the efforts of the Mutt’s administration and staff.
Compared to regular Thursdays, an exceptionally large number of devotees participated in the rituals, turning the entire premises—inside the temple, the Mutt’s front yard, and surrounding areas—into a sea of devotees immersed in devotion.
Addressing the gathering, senior administrator R.K. Vadeendracharya prayed that the blessings of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy may remain eternally upon all devotees and service volunteers who took part in the special Thursday services.

Thousands of Devotees Receive Darshan and Prasada of Sri Raghavendra Swamy


Bengaluru: Thousands of devotees thronged the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, located in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, to seek the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy and receive prasada.

As per the directions of Parama Poojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangalavaru, the religious programmes were conducted under the leadership of the senior administrator of the Mutt, Sri R.K. Vadindracharya, on Thursday morning, December 25. The rituals included Panchamrita Abhisheka, Kanakabhisheka, special alankara, Mahamangalarati, and Dhanurmasa pooja, all performed with great devotion.

Following the rituals, Anna Santarpane (mass feeding) and prasada distribution were organised for the devotees. Thousands stood patiently in well-organised queues stretching from the front of the Mutt up to the Shalini Playground near the Ganesh temple, completing nearly two rounds, to have darshan. Devotees received phala, mantra akshate, teertha, and prasada, and expressed their happiness and appreciation for the meticulous arrangements made by the Mutt authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Priest Sri Nandakishoracharya said that the smooth conduct of the programme was made possible with the cooperation of the Jayanagar and JP Nagar police, who actively assisted in managing the crowd and facilitating darshan and prasada distribution.

In the evening, a series of religious and cultural events were held, including Rathotsava, Gajavahanotsava, Ashtavadhana, and Tottillu Pooja. As part of the cultural programme, a Dasavani recital by Smt. Shruti Arun and her team was held and was received with great appreciation.

Large numbers of devotees participated in all the festivities and received the divine blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. Sri Krishna Gundacharya, Dharmadhikari of the Mutt, was also present on the occasion.
