Central Vigilance Commission, as the apex integrity institution in the Country has been tasked with exercising superintendence over the vigilance administration and implementing Government Polices against Corruption. Further to give recognition to the reforms and good work done by the Organisations in the field of punitive, preventive and participative vigilance, Central Vigilance Commission has instituted ‘Vigilance Excellence Awards’.
In this regard, for the year 2018, Commission has awarded Canara Bank with ‘Vigilance Excellence Award-Outstanding’ under Category – ‘Timely Completion of Disciplinary Proceedings’. The award has been presented in glittering function held on 31.10.2018 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi during ongoing ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ by the Hon’bte President of India.
On behalf of Canara Bank, the Award was received by Shri Ami Mittal, Chief Vigilance Officer and Shri Santanu Kumar Majumdar, General Manager, Delhi Circle on behalf of the MD a CEO of Canara Bank.
