
The Shorthand Writers’ Association of Karnataka, 3 Floor, Kandaya Bhavana, K. G. Road, Bengaluru-560009 has chalked out two days’ programme on 14th and 15th September, 2019 to celebrate its Centenary year on a grand scale.
The Programme includes Group Discussion on English and Kannada Shorthand, Honouring Shorthand Writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography, Honouring the former office bearers, Release of Souvenir to commemorate this event, cultural programe, etc.
It appeals to its members (1) to enrol themselves to attend the centenary celebration function, (2) to furnish their current address so that the information regarding the function could be sent to them, particularly, to the former office bearers of the Association.
The Stenographers who are working in Central, State, Public and Private Sector organizations who are not members of the Association may also participate in the function enrolling themselves either as Donors or RC members.
It is proposed to conduct high speed shorthand competitions both in English and Kannada Shorthand on the eve of Centenary Celebration.

On 14h September, 2019, at 10-30 a.m., Hon’ble Cblef Justice of High Court of Karnataka, will inaugurate the Centenary Celebrations, and release the souvenir. Mr. S. Ramanathan, ILA.S. (Retd.) will be the Guest of Honour, and will confer Honorary Fellowship on shorthand writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography.
On 14th September, 2019, at 2-00 p.m., Mr. S. Ramanathan, I,A.S. (Retd.) and Mrs. Sumithra R. Kulkarni, Senior Assistant Director of Public Instruction (Commerce), are the Guests of Honour, and will confer Honorary Fellowship on shorthand writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography On 15th September, 2019, at 10-30 a.m., Mr. S. Suresh Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Primary and Secondary Education and Sakala, will confer Honorary Fellowship on shorthand writers who have rendered yeoman service in the field of Stenography.

Mr. Justice N. Santosh Hegde, former Judge, Supreme Court of India, and former Lok Ayukta, Karnataka State, will deliver the Mr. C. N. Shadakshari, Valedictory Address, at 4-00 p.m. President, Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association will be the Guest of Honour, and will honour past and present office-bearers.
Mr. T. N. Dhruva Kumar, FSAK, Chairman, Centenary Central Committee, will preside over all the sessions.
