WOW (Women of Worth) Enterprise 2020 is a B2B Platform to Empower Women Entrepreneurs
Event held in celebration of International Women’s Day 2020

Bengaluru, 4th March 2020: WOW (Women of Worth) Enterprise Connect 2020, an event organised by UBUNTU Consortium in association with the Department of Commerce and Industries, Government of Karnataka will be held on 6th March 2020. The event will be inaugurated by Hon. Chief Minister Shri. B S Yediyurappa in the presence of Shri. Jagadish Shettar, Hon. Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, Government of Karnataka, Dr. C N Ashwath Narayan, Hon. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Higher Education, IT,BT and S&T, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka and Smt. K Rathna Prabha IAS (Retd), Chairman, Karnataka Skill Development Authority President, UBUNTU Consortium. The event is being held in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Explaining about the event, Smt. K Rathna Prabha said, “WOW Enterprise Connect 2020 will be a B2B event focused on women entrepreneurs. It will serve as a platform to give women entrepreneurs access to join the supply chain of large enterprises as well as PSUs. It will provide them with an opportunity to integrate with the entrepreneurial ecosystem ang grow their network as well as business in the domestic and global markets. The event will also act as a conduit to government and financial institutions for awareness of various schemes that they can benefit from.”
Focus sectors for WOW Enterprise Connect 2020 include apparel and merchandising, food processing, handicrafts, artificial jewellery, manufacturing, services, health and wellness, digital marketing and other allied sectors.
“The Enterprise Connect section of the event will feature talks by women experts from leading organisations on the procedures involved in becoming a registered vendor and how to activate a supply chain. The event will also have a Buyer Seller Meet which will facilitate one-to-one meetings of women entrepreneurs with leading industries, online marts and retail chains for procurement. The Global Connect vertical of the event will comprise of presentations made by Trade commissions from different countries highlighting trade opportunities. The B2G vertical will connect women entrepreneurs with government schemes, incentives and subsidiaries. There will also be presentations on specially designed financial schemes and finding opportunities for women entrepreneurs. The exhibition section will showcase products and services of women entrepreneurs to promote business to procurement heads, business visitors and fellow delegates” Smt. Rathna Prabha said.
