Bengaluru: Congress leader and former Corporator S. Udaykumar has taken an initiative to establish a Congress party office to redress the pubic grievances in the Munnekolala Ward of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
The office was formerly inaugurated on Friday jointly by folk expert Dr. Bananduru Kempiah, Kannada Sahitya Parishad Mahadevapura unit President T. Veerabhadraiah and political strategist and communication specialist MJ Srikant.
Dr. Bananduru Kempiah, in his inaugural speech, wished that Udaykumar helped the poor and the oppressed in Munnekolala. He wished the ward turning to a model one the folk singer also rendered a song on the occasion.
T. Veerabhadraiah said that government has increased the wards from 198 to 243 accordingly, the no of wards in the Mahadevapura assembly constituency has gone up from 8 to 13 “Udaykumar, who had been my friend for last 25 years has won from the Munnekolala ward twice, he is a gentleman who is friendly and fair to all being an undefeated leader, he is working for the poor and the oppressed. By winning next time he should convert the Munnekolala ward in to a model one for the entire Mahadevapura assembly constituency” Veerabhadraia while extending support to Udaykumar, wished him to get more responsibilities with status.
S. Udaykumar lamented that it is increasingly difficult to get public work done by the present government, it is too much to expect from the present government its ministers and MLA’s to respond to grievances of the public because they are busy in 40% commission business. The new office of the Congress party which has been inaugurated on Friday will be open to public always, the residents of the ward can walk into the office or approach him to explain their problem and get them resolved. Exuding confidence that he would get Congress party ticket for the 3rd consecutive time, Udaykumar said the presence of BBMP councilor are very important to respond to public issues. He recalled that he, Senior Congress leader and MLA Ramalinga Reddy and others had repeatedly urged the government to hold the much-delayed election to the BBMP council at the earliest. If the present government has faith in democracy it should accelerate the process of election.
On the occasion of Varamahalakshmi festival Friday, Mr. Udaykumar distributed sarees to 300 members of Streeshakti Sangh of Munnekolala Ward. Recently the Congress leader has distributed sarees to another 150 women.

NEW DELHI/FARIDABAD – August 5, 2022: Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, will inaugurate Amrita Hospital, Faridabad on August 24, 2022. The 2,400-bed healthcare institution will be India’s largest private sector hospital and opens under the auspices of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Shri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), a world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader of millions, will grace the occasion with her presence. Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar will attend the function along with other dignitaries.
On August 19, an auspicious ceremony of 108 homas will be held by 80 women priests and 28 male priests at the hospital premises. This will open a new chapter of compassionate and inclusive care by the Math.
The hospital’s benefits will go beyond providing access to the latest in healthcare technology and high-quality patient care in the Delhi NCR. Amrita Hospital, Faridabad has a vision to deliver its services to a patient catchment area extending all over North and North-East India. And then from an economic perspective, the hospital will bring immediate support to the Faridabad area with direct employment for approximately 2,000 people and indirect staff opportunities for 2,000 more. Once fully operational, the hospital will have around 10,000 staff and more than 800 doctors.
