
HBR Layout, 19-11-2023: The HBR Layout echoed with enthusiasm and commitment towards promoting sustainable transport solutions as the 2nd Cycle Day Program took center stage, advocating for the significance of non-motorised transport for local commutes.
Anchored by the Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT) and generously sponsored by the ESAF Foundation, the event received hearty support from the HBR Layout Residents Welfare Association, fostering community engagement and awareness.

The program commenced with a spirited 5 km cycle rally, demonstrating the community’s passion for cycling as a means of eco-friendly mobility. The open street event featured an array of traditional games, fostering camaraderie among the local populace.

The event served as a platform to introduce pivotal initiatives such as the Slow Streets and Pedal Shaale projects by DULT, leveraging technical support from the Council for Active Mobility (CFAM).
Notable figures gracing the occasion included Assistant Sub Inspector Basuvaraj from the KG Halli Traffic Police Station, Srinidhi representing DULT, esteemed members from the Karnataka Bicycle Association, and Sashi Kumar, the Regional Marketing Manager of ESAF Small Finance Bank. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort in promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
