The Malleswaram Cooperative Bank, renowned for its exemplary cooperative banking services, is celebrating its centenary year. The grand ceremony marking the Malleswaram Cooperative Bank’s centenary is scheduled to take place on March 10 at the prestigious Bangalore Palace Tripura Vasini premises. The program will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Siddaramaiah.
Many celebrities and VVIPs will be part of the program, including Mr. K.N. Rajanna (Hon’ble Cooperation Minister), along with Mr. H.K. Patil (Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs and President of Karnataka State Cooperative Urban Bank Ltd), D.V. Sadananda Gowda (Bengaluru North MP), and Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan (Malleswaram MLA).
Established on June 20, 1920, by a group of ambitious young individuals, the Malleswaram Cooperative Bank arose from the necessity for convenient banking services in the region. Initially operating out of a modest room on 7th Cross, Malleswaram, the bank’s operations flourished with each passing day. From these humble origins, the bank transitioned from a small room to a spacious building, symbolizing its enduring progress. Driven by a commitment to exceptional customer service and technological innovation, the bank has expanded its footprint, establishing branches in key locations such as Malleswaram (Head office), Rajajinagar, Vyalikaval, Yeshwanthpur, Ganganagar and RPC Layout. This expansion stands as a testament to the trust placed in the bank by its patrons.
Founded by esteemed individuals such as Shri DV Ayyaswamy lyer, Shri M Chinnaswamy, and Shri S Gopalaswamy, among others, the bank has traversed the century mark with unwavering dedication. As the bank celebrates its centenary milestone, it acknowledges the invaluable contributions of its management, staff, members, and customers.
