Frequent Accidents at Vannarpet Bus Stop: Urgent Safety Measures Needed-Gs Gopal Raaj.

Bengaluru: The Vannarpet Bus Stop, under the jurisdiction of Viveknagar Police Station, has become a high-risk zone due to heavy pedestrian movement, including schoolchildren, and reckless driving by speeding motorists. The lack of proper traffic control measures has led to frequent accidents, raising serious safety concerns among commuters and residents.

Speaking on the issue, G.S. Gopal Raaj, Editor of City Today News, emphasized the urgent need for intervention. “Traffic police must take immediate steps to protect the public and schoolchildren by installing signal lights and proper speed breakers to prevent further accidents,” he stated.

Local residents and activists have been calling on the Bangalore Traffic Police and BBMP to implement effective safety measures such as traffic signals, pedestrian crossings, and speed breakers to regulate vehicular movement in the area.

With growing concerns over pedestrian safety, citizens are urging authorities to take swift action before more lives are endangered. If immediate measures are not implemented, residents are considering escalating the matter to elected representatives and legal channels to ensure public safety.
