Coimbatore, India – February 26, 2025 – Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded Sadhguru’s efforts in spreading the true knowledge of Sanatana Dharma to the world during the grand Mahashivratri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore.
The event also marked the record-breaking launch of Sadhguru’s “Miracle of Mind” meditation app.
“Through you, Sadhguru, the entire world is understanding Sanatana—that true knowledge is understanding oneself, and the direction to change the world comes by changing oneself,” stated Minister Shah, addressing the massive gathering. He also compared the event to a “Mahakumbh of devotion.”
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the “Miracle of Mind” app, a free 7-minute guided meditation, which achieved a phenomenal milestone of 1 million downloads in just 15 hours. This surpasses records set by tech giants like ChatGPT, demonstrating the widespread appeal of Sadhguru’s teachings.
The Mahashivratri celebrations, held in the presence of the iconic Adiyogi statue, attracted a constellation of dignitaries and celebrities, including:
* Governors of Odisha and Punjab
* Union Ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal and L Murugan
* Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, D. K. Shivakumar
* Actors Tamannah, Vijay Verma, Mouni Roy, and Santhanam

The night-long festivities featured a rich tapestry of cultural performances, including music by award-winning composers Ajay and Atul Gogavale, German singer Cass Mae, and renowned folk and playback singers. Sadhguru led the proceedings, which included the Pancha Bhuta Kriya and the lighting of the Mahayoga Yagna.
