Bengaluru, March 13: In a major breakthrough for genetic research and regenerative medicine, Dr. Agarwal Hospitals & Gene Research Foundation inaugurated the state-of-the-art Inverted Phase Contrast Microscope, designed for DNA micron manipulation and live cell imaging. The event was graced by SWAMI CHAITANYANANDA SARASWATI, GUEST OF HONOR,CHAIRMAN OF SRISIIM BHARATI,UN REPRESENTATIVE and CINE ACTRESS-ANGANA RAI, who emphasized the importance of cutting-edge scientific advancements in improving healthcare.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Sunita Rana Agarwal, President of Gene Research Foundation & Dr. Agarwal Hospitals, highlighted the significance of the new technology in targeted genetic treatments. The microscope will facilitate precise identification and manipulation of healthy DNA, offering new possibilities for treating various diseases.
A key focus of the research is Morphogenetic Activator of Nucleic Acids (MANA), a formulation developed by Gene Research Foundation. According to Dr. Agarwal, this innovation enables the extraction and reintroduction of a patient’s own healthy fetal DNA & stem cells, potentially aiding in the treatment of conditions such as retinitis pigmentosa (RP), cerebral atrophy, arthritis, optic atrophy, diabetes, hypertension, and genetic mutations.
“For over 21 years, we have treated more than 20,000 patients using this personalized approach. By replacing lost fetal DNA, we may be able to combat diseases at their root cause—mutations in the DNA,” Dr. Agarwal stated. The introduction of live cell imaging and micron manipulation under the inverted microscope is expected to further enhance the precision and effectiveness of these treatments.
The inauguration marks a significant step forward in the integration of genetic research and clinical applications, with potential implications for the future of personalized medicine and disease management.
