Bengaluru, April 17, 2025: Dr. Soosan Jacob, Director and Chief of Dr. Agarwal’s Refractive and Cornea Foundation and Senior Consultant for Cataract and Glaucoma Services at Dr. Agarwal’s Group of Eye Hospitals, has been ranked among the Top 10 global experts in Cataract and Refractive Surgery in The Ophthalmologist Power List 2025.
Published by The Ophthalmologist, an internationally respected journal in the field of eye care, the Power List is an annual ranking that recognizes the 50 most influential and inspirational figures in global ophthalmology. Dr. Jacob is one of only three Indian ophthalmologists to be featured in the 2025 edition and has previously been named in the Power List in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Dr. Jacob is renowned for her work in advanced refractive surgery, complex cataract procedures, keratoconus management, corneal transplants, and glaucoma. She has introduced several innovations in ophthalmic surgery, most notably the Corneal Allogenic Intrastromal Ring Segments (CAIRS) technique. This breakthrough surgical procedure has transformed the treatment of keratoconus and is now practiced globally.
