
Bengaluru, 27 May 2025 — The city of Bengaluru played host to the inaugural DeepTech & Innovation Forum 2025 today at the Taj MG Road, bringing together a powerful assembly of leaders from the worlds of technology, academia, policy, and entrepreneurship. The forum served as a dynamic platform to highlight how emerging technologies—ranging from artificial intelligence and robotics to bioprinting and sustainable aviation—are reshaping industries and global collaboration.
With participation from over 150 delegates including startup founders, investors, diplomats, and researchers, the forum focused on key themes such as scalable innovation, international partnerships, healthcare transformation, and deep tech commercialization.
The event opened with remarks from Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann, President of Hof University of Applied Sciences, Germany, who emphasized the role of academia-industry linkages in fueling innovation. A featured panel discussion, moderated by Jan Kuenne of the Enterprise Development Group, showcased impactful startup stories from leaders such as Sanjeev Sharma (Swaayatt Robots), Alok Medikepura Anil (Next Big Innovation Labs), and Subashree Krishnan (The ePlane Company).

One of the significant milestones of the day was the MoU signing between Hof University and Swaayatt Robots, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration in autonomous mobility research and applied robotics innovation.
A high-level fireside chat moderated by Jose Jacob K brought together prominent figures including Prof. M.V. Rajeev Gowda, Annett Baessler (German Consulate, Bengaluru), and industry veterans like Dileep Mangsuli, Madan Padaki, and Naganand Doraswamy. The dialogue centered around fostering cross-border innovation and strengthening policy frameworks to support entrepreneurship.
The forum also spotlighted a healthcare collaboration initiative led by Prof. Dr. Matthias Drossel of Hof University, focusing on advanced nursing education and India-Germany knowledge exchange to uplift global healthcare standards.
The DeepTech & Innovation Forum 2025 concluded on a note of promise, reinforcing India’s growing influence in global deep tech leadership and setting the stage for future Indo-German collaborations in high-impact technology domains.
