India’s CamCom Technologies Joins Hands with ERGO Group AG to Launch AI-Powered Insurance Solutions in Europe

Bengaluru, July 30, 2025 – In a significant move for India’s deep-tech landscape, CamCom Technologies, a Bengaluru-based computer vision company, has announced a strategic partnership with ERGO Group AG, one of Europe’s leading insurance firms. Under this collaboration, CamCom will serve as the primary technology partner for ERGO’s AI-based visual inspection platform, which is being implemented across several European markets.

The AI solution has already gone live in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, with phased deployments planned across other ERGO territories. The partnership strengthens CamCom’s international presence and highlights India’s growing capability in delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions for complex industries.

AI-Led Transformation in Insurance Assessment

At the core of the offering is CamCom’s proprietary Large Vision Model (LVM) — the world’s first domain-specific AI engine designed for detecting defects and damages on surfaces. Trained on a database of over 450 million customer-validated images, the solution allows policyholders to upload vehicle or property images via their smartphones, enabling real-time, accurate, and transparent assessments.

The technology reduces manual subjectivity, boosts operational efficiency, and improves the claims experience for both insurers and customers.

Leadership Speaks on the Partnership

“We are honoured to be ERGO’s chosen technology partner,” said Geetha Sham, Director and President – Europe, CamCom Technologies. “This alliance is a key milestone in our global expansion and reinforces our focus on building high-impact AI solutions for critical industries like insurance.”

Mark Klein, Chief Digital Officer and Board Member of ERGO Group AG, commented, “Technology must be more than innovative — it must be practical and scalable. CamCom’s AI platform fits that vision, and we look forward to extending its use across our European operations in both motor and property insurance. Together, we aim to digitize insurance experiences and validate this technology in live market environments.”

Parthanil Ghosh, Executive Director of HDFC ERGO General Insurance, which has been working with CamCom in India, added, “Our longstanding partnership has delivered tangible improvements in claims and underwriting through AI-driven inspections. It’s great to see this tested platform now contributing to ERGO’s global digital push.”

A Global Footprint for Indian Innovation

CamCom CEO Ajith Nayar noted, “As a versatile computer vision platform, CamCom offers AI tools that are scalable, accurate, and trusted by enterprises and governments. Our association with ERGO Group AG reaffirms our commitment to driving India-origin AI innovation on the global stage.”

CamCom’s platform is currently in use by over 15 insurance companies worldwide, and it complies with key regulatory frameworks such as GDPR in Europe and IRDAI in India, ensuring secure and region-specific implementation.

Supporting ERGO’s 2025 Digital Vision

This strategic tie-up also aligns with ERGO Group’s goal to become a digital insurance leader by 2025. The company continues to invest in future-forward technologies through initiatives like the ERGO ScaleHub in Düsseldorf.

Implementation subject to approval from relevant regulatory authorities (IROA).
