Guruvandana 2025: Malleswaram Civic Committee to Honour Teachers and Achievers on August 2

Bengaluru, July 31, 2025:
The Malleswaram Civic Management Committee will host Guruvandana, a special felicitation program to honour educators and distinguished individuals across various fields, on Saturday, August 2, at 2:00 PM, at the J.N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Campus, Malleswaram, Bengaluru.

The event will pay tribute to more than 50 school teachers from Malleswaram and surrounding areas for their dedicated service to education. Individuals excelling in music, sports, dance, and other cultural domains will also be recognised.

A key highlight of the ceremony will be the spiritual presence of three revered seers, to whom a formal Guruvandana will be offered in reverence:

Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, Pontiff, Sri Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Math

Sri Sri Yadugiri Yatiraj Narayana Ramanuja Jiyar Swamiji, Yadugiri Yatiraj Math

Sri Karivrishabha Deshikendra Shivayogishwara Mahaswamiji, Pontiff, Sri Somekatte Kadu Siddeshwara Math, Nonavinakere


The event will be graced by notable dignitaries, including:

Sri Madhu Bangarappa, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Government of Karnataka

Sri G.C. Chandrasekhar, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha


The program will commence with a welcome dance, lighting of the lamp, and inaugural addresses by the chief guests, followed by the main felicitation segment and a vote of thanks.

Lunch will be served from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, with the formal program beginning thereafter.

Lifetime Achievement Honours

The prestigious “Arohana” Lifetime Achievement Awards (2025) will be presented to the following eminent personalities:

The Guruvandana program is being organised in collaboration with Rotary Bangalore West, Kiran Foundation, Ayatan Foundation, and other civic organisations working towards community development and educational upliftment.
