International Stars Join Indian Icons for CSPL 2025 Showdown

Bengaluru, September 17, 2024: The Cue Sports Premier League (CSPL) is gearing up for its much-anticipated second season, promising a larger, more competitive, and globally enriched spectacle. Organized by the prestigious Bowring Institute, the event will be staged at the state-of-the-art South Pavilion Snooker Arena, Bengaluru, from October 2 to October 8, 2025.

Bigger, Better, and More Competitive

After the resounding success of its inaugural edition, CSPL 2.0 is set to raise the bar with international stars, Indian champions, state-level performers, and club talents competing under one roof. The league aims to deliver a unique blend of elite talent, fresh format innovations, and high-octane matchups.

Star-Studded Player Roster

At the forefront is Padma Bhushan awardee and 27-time World Billiards Champion, Pankaj Advani, supported by Arjuna Awardees Aditya Mehta and Sourav Kothari.

For the first time, the league introduces international participation, featuring celebrated cueists such as Stephen Lee, James Wattana, Rory McLeod, Mohammed Shehab, Harvey Chandler, and Kritsanut Lertsattayathorn. Their presence is expected to elevate the level of competition and excitement.

CSPL 2025 will feature eight teams, each comprising nine players selected through a Bengaluru-based auction:

Team Structure:

3 Marquee Players (1 International + 2 National)

The league will follow a round-robin format, with all teams playing each other once in a nine-frame match format. The top four teams will qualify for the knockout stage, featuring two Qualifiers, an Eliminator, and the Grand Final on October 8, 2025.
