
Bengaluru, November 2025: The much-awaited Putthaga Thiruvizha 2025 (Tamil Book Festival) returns to Bengaluru for its fourth edition, celebrating the rich literary and cultural heritage of the Tamil community in Karnataka. The 10-day festival will be held from December 5 to 14, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily at The Institution of Engineers, opposite Indian Express, Bengaluru.
Organized by the Karnataka Tamil Journalists Association and Thamizh Puthaga Thiruvizha Committee, the event promises a vibrant platform for writers, readers, publishers, and art enthusiasts to come together in a shared celebration of Tamil literature and culture.
The festival will feature a wide range of programmes, including Ilakkiya Maalai (Literary Evenings), book launches, Kalai Maalai (Cultural Nights), traditional Tamil games, magic shows, and Pattimandram (debate sessions). The prestigious Karnataka Thamizh Awards will also be presented, along with the release of a special souvenir edition, Sirappu Malar.
Students attending the festival will receive book coupons worth ₹100, and free parking will be available for all visitors.
