
Bengaluru: The Parikrma Champions League Football Tournament, organised by the Parikrma Humanity Foundation, returned for its 13th edition this year, once again capturing the attention of football lovers across the city. The 2025 season opened on Thursday with high-intensity matches, spirited performances and swift, competitive play that set an electrifying tone for the tournament. The presence of distinguished guests added a special significance to this year’s inauguration.
Chief Guest Chetan R., Commissioner, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, formally inaugurated the tournament. In his address, he praised Parikrma’s consistent efforts to build a strong sports culture among children and emphasised the importance of platforms that nurture teamwork, discipline and leadership skills in young players.

Several notable personalities graced the occasion, including Harinarayana Sharma, Nasir Humayun, Sunil Koshi, Srikant Hegde, Rajesh Nayak, Aprameya, Yasasvini Ghorpade, Anshuman, Min Hyung, Girish Gowda, Deepak Jain, Shwetha Maurya, Raj Kiran, among others. Their participation further elevated the opening ceremony.
