Ola Electric Unveils 4680 Bharat Cell as India’s Unified New Energy Platform at प्रारंभ 2026

At प्रारंभ 2026, Ola Electric marked a defining moment in India’s clean-energy journey by expanding its indigenous 4680 Bharat Cell beyond electric mobility into a comprehensive new-energy platform designed for the country’s future.

The company announced that it is opening direct access to its 4680 Bharat Cells and 1.5kWh battery packs for businesses and startups, enabling applications across electric vehicles, humanoids, drones, robotics, and portable medical equipment. By making this India-designed and manufactured energy platform available to the wider ecosystem, Ola Electric aims to accelerate innovation and scale new-age technologies faster.

Strengthening its presence in residential energy, Ola Electric also opened purchases for Ola शक्ति, India’s first fully indigenous Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Designed, engineered, and manufactured domestically, Ola शक्ति brings portable, on-demand power to Indian homes, farms, and small businesses. Deliveries of the 6kW / 9.1kWh variant will begin by the end of January 2026, followed by the 3kW / 5.2kWh variant from mid-February 2026.

On the mobility front, Ola Electric has commenced deliveries of its flagship electric motorcycle, the Roadster X+ (9.1kWh), powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell and offering a claimed range of up to 500 km on a single charge. The company has also significantly scaled up PAN-India deliveries of the S1 Pro+ 5.2kWh, strengthening its leadership in the premium electric scooter segment.

At the heart of Ola Electric’s growing portfolio lies a singular philosophy—one cell, one platform, one ecosystem, purpose-built for India. The 4680 Bharat Cell now powers both Ola’s two-wheeler lineup and its residential energy solutions, creating a unified energy backbone that spans mobility and storage.

Speaking on the expansion, an Ola Electric spokesperson said the 4680 Bharat Cell forms the foundation of the company’s in-house energy and mobility ecosystem. By opening the platform to startups and enterprises, Ola is enabling diverse use cases—from electric vehicles and drones to medical equipment—using a single, scalable energy architecture built in India.

Ola शक्ति is available in two configurations—3kW / 5.2kWh priced at ₹1,49,999 and 6kW / 9.1kWh priced at ₹2,49,999. The system is capable of powering high-load appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, induction cooktops, farm pumps, and communication equipment, offering fast charging and up to 1.5 hours of backup at full load.

The Roadster X+, priced at ₹1,89,999, features an 11kW motor paired with a 9.1kWh battery, delivering a top speed of 125 kmph and accelerating from 0–40 kmph in just 2.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the S1 Pro+ 5.2kWh, priced at ₹1,90,338, comes equipped with a 13kW motor, achieves a top speed of 130 kmph, delivers an IDC range of up to 320 km, and accelerates from 0–40 kmph in 2.1 seconds.

With the 4680 Bharat Cell now powering vehicles, homes, and future technologies, Ola Electric is positioning itself not just as an EV manufacturer, but as a cornerstone of India’s next-generation energy ecosystem.
