Early Thyroid Response Seen in 1 in 2 Hypothyroid Patients on Homeopathic Care

Half of Hypothyroid Patients Show Early TSH Improvement with Homeopathy: Clinic Data

Bengaluru, January 20, 2026:
More than half of hypothyroid patients recorded early improvement in thyroid function after beginning homeopathic treatment, according to an internal analysis released by Dr Kalyan Banerjee’s Clinic. The findings are drawn from treatment outcomes of over 1,200 patients managed at the clinic.

Sharing the data, Dr Kushal Banerjee, Senior Homeopath, said 52% of patients showed a reduction in TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) levels at their first follow-up. “This suggests homeopathy may play a role in managing hypothyroidism, particularly when intervention begins at an early stage,” he noted.
In urban settings, thyroid disorders are often detected early due to increased testing. “Many such patients are able to delay or avoid starting hormone replacement therapy. Those already on medication may, in some cases, gradually reduce dosage under medical supervision,” Dr Banerjee said.

Doctors at the clinic also observed that patients with fluctuating thyroid readings—often subjected to repeated dose changes—respond better when treatment focuses on stabilisation rather than frequent adjustments.

Hypothyroidism affects an estimated 42 million Indians, with women between 15 and 49 years at higher risk. While iodine deficiency is no longer a major concern, clinicians report a rise in autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

With thyroid testing becoming widespread, experts caution against premature lifelong medication. “Clear guidelines, better awareness and balanced treatment decisions are essential to address India’s growing thyroid burden,” Dr Banerjee said.
