Bengaluru, January 23, 2026 | HRBR Layout: As part of National Road Safety Month, Vasan Eye Care Hospital, HRBR Banaswadi branch, organized a special road safety awareness programme on January 23. This initiative is being implemented simultaneously across all Vasan Eye Care Hospitals in South India, with all 18 branches in Karnataka actively participating in the campaign.
A large number of drivers from BMTC Depot No. 10 took part in the programme and actively engaged in the awareness session on road safety. The drivers reaffirmed their commitment to safe driving practices and highlighted the importance of responsible driving in ensuring public safety.

Addressing the media during the press interaction, Dr. Harshavardhan from Vasan Eye Care Hospital emphasized the critical role of eye health in road safety. He specifically underlined the need for regular eye check-ups for BMTC and other commercial vehicle drivers, explaining how good vision is essential for timely decision-making and accident prevention. He noted that clear vision is not just a matter of personal health but a key factor in safeguarding lives on the road.

Following the press conference, a free eye screening camp was organized as part of the initiative, benefiting over 50 BMTC drivers. The camp was well received, with participants appreciating the hospital’s efforts to combine health awareness with road safety.
