Bengaluru: In a heartwarming gesture aimed at supporting underprivileged children battling cancer, Mrs. Sabrina Ahmad, daughter of philanthropist Haji Sattar Sait, owner of Safina Plaza and Safina Tower, extended meaningful assistance by donating essential items to young patients at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology.

The contribution included 100 travelling bags along with 100 sets of steel plates, glasses, and spoons-items that will significantly ease the daily challenges faced by children undergoing prolonged treatment. The initiative was designed not only to meet practical needs but also to bring comfort and a sense of care to the young beneficiaries.
The distribution event was graced by Mr. Hamza Hussain, Superintendent of Police and Commandant of KSRP Battalion 12, Tumakuru, who lauded the effort and emphasized the importance of community participation in supporting vulnerable sections of society. His presence added encouragement to both the donors and the medical community.
Senior doctors from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, including Director Dr. Naveen T., Dr. Arun Kumar, Head of the Department of Paediatric Oncology, and Dr. Mahantesh, Senior Medical Officer, were present during the occasion. They expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful contribution, noting that such gestures go a long way in uplifting the morale of children and their families during difficult times.
The initiative stands as a reminder of the impact that individual acts of kindness can create. Organisers and medical professionals collectively urged more individuals and organisations to step forward and support economically disadvantaged cancer patients, stressing that compassion and timely help can make a profound difference in their journey toward recovery.
