Bengaluru, January 23, 2026 | Bommanahalli: As part of National Road Safety Month, Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Bommanahalli branch, organized a special road safety awareness programme on January 23. This initiative is being implemented simultaneously across all Vasan Eye Care Hospitals in South India, with all 18 branches in Karnataka actively participating in the campaign.

A large number of drivers associated with Ola, Uber and Rapido took part in the programme and actively engaged in the road safety awareness session. The participation reflected their commitment to adopting safe driving practices and responsible conduct on the road.

Addressing the media during the press interaction, doctors from Vasan Eye Care Hospital — Dr. Veena Prabhu, Dr. Nishanth, Dr. Varsha and Dr. Mahak — highlighted the crucial link between eye health and road safety. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜನವರಿ 23, 2026 | HRBR ಲೇಔಟ್: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ರಸ್ತೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಮಾಸದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ, ವಾಸನ್ ಐ ಕೇರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ, HRBR ಬಾನಸ್ವಾಡಿ ಶಾಖೆ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಜನವರಿ 23 ರಂದು ರಸ್ತೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಅಭಿಯಾನವು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಇರುವ ವಾಸನ್ ಐ ಕೇರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಒಂದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ 18 ಶಾಖೆಗಳು ಈ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿವೆ.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ BMTC ಡೆಪೋ ನಂ. 10ರ ಅನೇಕ ಚಾಲಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ರಸ್ತೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಕುರಿತ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಸತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಚಾಲನಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ಚಾಲನೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಜೀವ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾಲಕರ ಪಾತ್ರ ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಹತ್ವದ್ದೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿಅವರು ಪುನಃ ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸನ್ ಐ ಕೇರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ಹರ್ಷವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ರಸ್ತೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಹಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ BMTC ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಾಹನ ಚಾಲಕರು ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಕಣ್ಣು ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಅಪಘಾತಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಉತ್ತಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಕೇವಲ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೂ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯ ನಂತರ, ಈ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಅಭಿಯಾನದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಉಚಿತ ಕಣ್ಣು ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಿಂದ 50ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು BMTC ಚಾಲಕರು ಲಾಭ ಪಡೆದರು. ಚಾಲಕರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಪಘಾತಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದ ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡವರಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು.

Umashree, Dr. Nagalakshmi Choudhary to Receive Kala Samrat Star Award on January 29

In association with the Department of Kannada and Culture, Om Sri Sai Ram Cultural Art Forum will organise a grand cultural programme at Ravindra Kalakshetra on January 29. On the occasion, senior Kannada actress and Member of the Legislative Council Umashree, along with Dr. Nagalakshmi Choudhary, Chairperson of the Karnataka State Women’s Commission, will be conferred with the prestigious Kala Samrat Star Award.

Addressing a press conference, Manjula S., General Secretary of Om Sri Sai Ram Cultural Art Forum and a noted theatre artiste, said the event will be inaugurated in the presence of Sri Siddaraju Swamiji, Peetadhipathi of Sri Kshetra Palanahalli Mutt. The programme will also be attended by M. Krishnappa, MLA from Vijayanagar constituency; Priya Krishnan, MLA from Govindarajanagar constituency; K. M. Gayathri, Secretary, Department of Kannada and Culture; social activist Golden Suresh; senior actress Girija Lokesh; actors Shashikumar and M. N.
