ನವದೆಹಲಿ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2025:
ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಯ ಸುಬ್ರೋತೋ ಕಪ್ ಫುಟ್‌ಬಾಲ್ ಟೂರ್ನಮೆಂಟ್‌ನ 64ನೇ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ಇಂದು ಡಾ. ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದೂರಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಜೂನಿಯರ್ ಗರ್ಲ್ಸ್ (ಅಂಡರ್-17) ವಿಭಾಗದ ಗ್ರೂಪ್-ಎಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರುಣಾಚಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ನಾರಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಹೈಯರ್ ಸೆಕೆಂಡರಿ ಶಾಲೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಆಟದ ಮೂಲಕ ಒಡಿಶಾದ ಸಂಬಲಪುರದ ಸೇನಿಕ್ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು 1-0 ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣಿಸಿತು.

ಪಂದ್ಯದ 9ನೇ ನಿಮಿಷದಲ್ಲೇ ಜೆರ್ಸಿ ನಂ. 9 ಲುಕೀ ಲಿಯಂ ತಮಿನ್ ಸೊಗಸಾದ ಗೋಲ್ ಬಾರಿಸಿ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮುನ್ನಡೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಆ ನಂತರ ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳು ಸಮಬಲ ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಅರುಣಾಚಲದ ತಂಡ ಜಯವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು.

ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭ
ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ ಮಾರ್ಷಲ್ ಎಸ್. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ವಿ‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಂ, ಏರ್ ಆಫೀಸರ್-ಇನ್-ಚಾರ್ಜ್ (ಆಡಳಿತ) ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ – ಸುಬ್ರೋತೋ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಮಾಜ ಅವರು ಟೂರ್ನಮೆಂಟ್‌ಗೆ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ತಂಡದ ತಾರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅರುಣ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರಾದ ಅಂಜುಮ್ ಮೊದ್ಗಿಲ್ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಏರ್ ವೋರಿಯರ್ಸ್ ಡ್ರಿಲ್ ತಂಡದ ನಿಖರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಹಾಗೂ ಏರ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಬಾಲ್ ಭಾರತಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಸಮಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮೆರುಗು ನೀಡಿದವು.

ಏರ್ ಮಾರ್ಷಲ್ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ,
“64ನೇ ಸುಬ್ರೋತೋ ಕಪ್ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಫುಟ್‌ಬಾಲ್‌ನ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಟೂರ್ನಮೆಂಟ್ ಯುವ ಆಟಗಾರರ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರತರುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಜನರನ್ನು ಈ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗೆ ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ನನಗೆ ಇದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಂಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾರೈಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರು ನಿಜವಾದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಡಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಟೂರ್ನಮೆಂಟ್ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯಗಳು

ಒಟ್ಟು 31 ತಂಡಗಳು ಎಂಟು ಗುಂಪುಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಜನೆಗೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾದಾಡಲಿವೆ.

ಪ್ರತಿ ಗುಂಪಿನ ವಿಜೇತರು ನಾಕ್ಔಟ್ ಹಂತ ತಲುಪಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಫೈನಲ್ ಪಂದ್ಯ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 28, 2025 ರಂದು ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.

ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳು ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ತೇಜಸ್ ಮೈದಾನ, ಸುಬ್ರೋತೋ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಿಂಟೋ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಮೈದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿವೆ.

Understanding India’s Linguistic Policy: Key Facts on Scheduled and Official Languages

The Constitution of India gives due importance to the country’s rich linguistic diversity. Under the Eighth Schedule, a total of 22 languages have been recognized as “scheduled languages.” These include widely spoken languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and also regionally significant ones like Konkani, Manipuri, and Bodo. The inclusion of these languages ensures their preservation, promotion, and use in official communication, education, and cultural representation.

When it comes to the state of Goa, the language policy takes a more specific form. Konkani has been declared the official language of Goa, reflecting the cultural identity of the state and its people. This means that the language is used in government administration, official documents, and legislative proceedings within Goa.

It is also important to clarify a common misconception: India does not have a national language. While Hindi and English serve as official languages of the Union for central government communication, no single language has been designated as the “national language.” This distinction underlines India’s commitment to multilingualism and federal principles, giving equal respect to all recognized languages without imposing one as superior.

The awareness of this linguistic framework is vital, especially in a country as diverse as India, where language often forms the core of cultural identity and unity in diversity.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಡೆಲಾಯ್ಟ್‌ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಪ್ಯಾರಾಲಿಂಪಿಕ್‌ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ವಿಜೇತೆ, ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಾರ್ತಿ ಶೀತಲ್‌ ದೇವಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿಕೆ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಹಯೋಗದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ಯಾರಾಲಿಂಪಿಕ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಅರ್ಹತೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

ಡೆಲಾಯ್ಟ್‌ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಏಷ್ಯಾದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ರೋಮಲ್‌ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, “ಕೇವಲ 15ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೀತಲ್‌ ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಹಿಡಿದು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು. 16ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ನಂ.1 ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಾರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ, 17ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜುನ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಾಲಿಂಪಿಕ್‌ ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದರು. ಇಂತಹ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳು ದೇಶದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಿದರೆ, ಭಾರತದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಭಾರತದ ನಿಜವಾದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ; ಅವರ ಕನಸು, ಹೋರಾಟ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ. ಶೀತಲ್ ಅವರ ಪಯಣವೇ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ. ಡೆಲಾಯ್ಟ್‌ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಲ್ಲ, ಅದನ್ನು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸುವುದಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Bengaluru Sees Sharp Rise in Myopia and Astigmatism; Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital Introduces Advanced Contoura Vision Technology

BENGALURU, August 19, 2025: Eye specialists in Bengaluru are reporting a steep rise in vision problems such as myopia and astigmatism over the past decade, with children, young adults, and IT professionals being the most affected. Doctors attribute this surge to excessive screen time, limited outdoor activity, and the pressures of academics and work.

To address this growing concern, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital has launched the Wavelight EX500 Contoura Excimer Laser in Bengaluru — an advanced, topography-guided LASIK system that offers precise, personalised vision correction.

Refractive errors, caused when the eye fails to focus light correctly, are now increasingly common in Karnataka, particularly among children aged 8–15 and young adults between 20–35 years. Experts warn that without early detection and timely treatment, these conditions could lead to complications such as lazy eye in children and persistent eye strain in adults.

Dr Amod Nayak, Head of Clinic1d11qqal Services at Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, noted:
“We are seeing a rapid increase in refractive errors, especially myopia and astigmatism, across Bengaluru and Karnataka. Young people are particularly vulnerable due to screen-heavy lifestyles.
