ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 17, 2025 – ‘ವೋಕಲ್ ಫಾರ್ ಲೋಕಲ್‘ ಹಾಗೂ ‘ಆತ್ಮನಿರ್ಭರ ಭಾರತ’ದ ಆಶಯವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಪುಷ್ಟಿಪಡಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಜೈನ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಆದರ್ಶ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಆಫ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಷನ್ಸ್ ತನ್ನ ಸಭಾಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ “ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ಸಿಂಧೂರ್ – ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭ”ವನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುನಿಲ್ ಸಿಂಘಿ ಅವರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ಸಿಂಧೂರ್” ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಆದರ್ಶ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಹೊಸ ಭಾರತ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಕನಸಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಜ್ವಲವಾದ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು. “ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವುದು ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪುನರುತ್ತ್ಥಾನದ ದಾರಿ” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿರ್ಗಲ್, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. “ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಇದು ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ಆರಂಭ. ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ನೈತಿಕತೆ, ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಪರಿವರ್ತನಾ ದೂತರಾಗಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಪದಮ್ ರಾಜ್ ಮೇಹತಾ, ಆದರ್ಶ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಜಿತೇಂದ್ರ ಮಾರ್ಡಿಯಾ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದರು ಮತ್ತು “ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ಸಿಂಧೂರ್ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾರತ ಮಾತೆಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಂಜಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಪೂರ್ವಭಾವಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡು, ನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸಮೂಹವಾಗಿ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯ “ಭಾರತ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ” ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಸಿಂಧೂರ್’ ಪದವನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಪವಿತ್ರತೆಯ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಚಿಹ್ನೆಯಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆ, ಭಾಷಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ‘ವೋಕಲ್ ಫಾರ್ ಲೋಕಲ್’ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳು ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಂಡವು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾಗರಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಹಾಜರಾತಿದಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಾಭಿಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ನೈತಿಕ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸಿತು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 17 – ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ತನ್ನ ಆಡಳಿತ ವೈಫಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಹಾಕುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಭಿನ್ನತೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಜಾತಿಗಣತಿ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಜನತಾಪಕ್ಷ ತೀವ್ರ ಆರೋಪ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಜಾತಿಗಣತಿ ಮರುಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಹಣವನ್ನು ದುರ್ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಶ್ವೇತಪತ್ರ ಹೊರಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪಕ್ಷವು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಆರ್‌ಸಿಬಿ ವಿಜಯೋತ್ಸವದ ವೇಳೆಯ ಕಾಲ್ತುಳಿತ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಉದಾಹರಿಸಿ, ಜನತಾಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. “ಈ ಘಟನೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂದಿರಲಾರದ ಹತ್ಯಾಕಾಂಡ. ನೂರಾರು ಜನರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, 11 ಜನರ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಹಾರಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮೇಲಿನ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಹಗರಣಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿ

ಜನತಾಪಕ್ಷದ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಹಗರಣಗಳೆಡೆಗೂ ಗುರುತಿಸಿತು – ಮುಡಾ, ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ನಿಗಮ, ಭೋವಿ ನಿಗಮ, ಸಹಕಾರ ಖಾತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಧರ್ಮಸಂಕಟವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಪಕ್ಷದ ಆರೋಪ.

“ಪಕ್ಷದ ಆಂತರಿಕ ಭಿನ್ನಮತಗಳು, ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಪುಟ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ವಿಳಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿವೆ. ಈ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ‘ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡಿನ ಸೂಚನೆಯಂತೆ’ ಮರುಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂಬ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುವಂತಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು.

ಜಾತಿಗಣತಿ ವರದಿ: ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವಿಲ್ಲದ ವರದಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಡಳಿತ?

ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡ ಕಾಂತರಾಜ್ ಆಯೋಗದ ವರದಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಅದರ ಆಧಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ತದನಂತರದ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಗಮೋಹನದಾಸ್ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳ ಕೆಲಸ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ. “ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ವಿರೋಧದ ಹೊರತಲ್ಲದೆ, ಪಕ್ಷದೊಳಗಿನ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಈ ವರದಿಗಳೂ ಅನೇಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಜನತಾಪಕ್ಷ ನುಡಿಸಿದೆ.

ಜನತಾಪಕ್ಷದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆಗ್ರಹಗಳು:

2013 ರಿಂದ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಜಾತಿಗಣತಿ/ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗುಲಿದ ಖರ್ಚು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಬಳಕೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಶ್ವೇತಪತ್ರ ಹೊರಡಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಆರ್‌ಸಿಬಿ ವಿಜಯೋತ್ಸವದ ವೇಳೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಕಾಲ್ತುಳಿತದ ಕುರಿತು ನಿಖರ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಷ್ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು.

ಮರುಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ನೆಚ್ಚನ್ನು ಪುನರ್‌ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವತ್ತ ಪಾದಚಲನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಪ್ರಸರಣ ನಿಗಮ ನೌಕರರ ಸಂಘವು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಜ್ರಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಜೂನ್ 18, ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 11 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ತ್ರಿಪುರ ವಾಸಿನಿ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವಗರ್ಭಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಿ ‘ವಜ್ರಜ್ಯೋತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಸ್ಮರಣ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು.

ಸಂಘದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ SSLC ಮತ್ತು PUC ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಕಡಾ 90ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂಕ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ನೌಕರರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ನೌಕರರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಿದೆ.

ಅಲ್ಲದೇ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಸಂಘದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಐದು ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ:

1. ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಮರುಪರಿಗಣನೆ: 01.04.2006 ನಂತರ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಹಳೆಯ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಜೋಖವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

2. ಖಾಲಿ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ಭರ್ತಿ: ನಿಗಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಖಾಲಿ ಇರುವ ಸುಮಾರು 35,000 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

3. ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ: ಎಲ್ಲ ನೌಕರರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿವೃತ್ತ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

4. ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ನಿಗಮದ ಖಾಸಗೀಕರಣ ವಿರೋಧ: ನಿಗಮಗಳನ್ನು ಖಾಸಗೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸದೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು 1998ರಿಂದ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಶುಚಿಗಾರರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಖಾಯಂ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

In today’s fast-evolving nutritional landscape, food discussions have grown increasingly polarised. On one end, certain foods are glorified as miracle ingredients; on the other, some are vilified without nuance. Caught in this tug-of-war are ordinary consumers, who are left confused—and sometimes guilt-ridden—about their dietary choices. Myths surrounding gluten, dairy, and edible oils have taken centre stage, often overshadowing conversations on balance, moderation, and sustainable nutrition.

Palm oil, despite being the most widely consumed edible oil globally, continues to be misunderstood and unfairly maligned. Leveraging this confusion, many FMCG companies market their products as “palm oil-free”, insinuating a health advantage without clearly disclosing the alternative oils used, their nutritional value, or their environmental and economic trade-offs.

Nutritional Profile: A Balanced Oil

Palm oil’s nutritional profile reveals a unique composition of fats: approximately 50% saturated, 40% monounsaturated, and 10% polyunsaturated fats. Importantly, saturated fats derived from plant sources like palm oil, coconut oil, and cocoa butter differ significantly in structure and impact from those found in animal fats. Lumping all saturated fats together under one health label is both scientifically inaccurate and misleading.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that saturated fat should account for no more than 8–10% of total daily calorie intake. This indicates a need for informed consumption, not outright exclusion.

Functional Benefits in Cooking

Palm oil’s high oxidative stability and smoke point make it highly suitable for cooking, frying, and food processing. Unlike partially hydrogenated oils, it does not produce harmful trans fats during manufacturing. This is especially relevant as WHO advises that trans fat intake be limited to less than 1% of daily energy consumption. Naturally semi-solid at room temperature, palm oil provides a stable base without the need for chemical modification.

Processing and Usage Matter

While the type of oil used is important, how it is processed and reused is equally critical. Repeated heating of oils—commonly seen in street food or home kitchens—can produce toxic compounds detrimental to health. This is a much-overlooked aspect of everyday cooking that deserves greater public awareness.

The Need for Balanced Dialogue

Demonising individual ingredients serves little purpose. Instead, the focus should shift towards evidence-based dietary choices. A predominantly plant-based diet, mindful consumption of cooking oils (including palm oil), and an active lifestyle remain the cornerstones of good health and gut wellness.

As with any nutritional element, context, quality, and moderation are key. Rather than succumbing to marketing narratives, consumers must be empowered with facts—so they can make informed, confident decisions about their health.

Thimmakka Alleges Unauthorized Biopic, Seeks Immediate Halt to Filming

Bengaluru, June 16 –
Environmental icon and Padma Shri awardee Saalumarada Thimmakka has raised strong objections to the unauthorized production of a biopic on her life, alleging that the filmmakers have neither sought her permission nor informed her about the project.

The film, titled “Vrikshamate Saalumarada Thimmakka”, is reportedly being directed by Sailad Deelin Kumar and Oradashree. According to Thimmakka, she was unaware of the production until June 13, when she received calls from concerned supporters about a shoot underway near her plantation site in the Kuduru region of Ramanagara district.

Acting on the information, Thimmakka visited the location personally and confirmed that filming was in progress. She subsequently filed a complaint with the local police, demanding that the shoot be stopped immediately.

“Using my name and life story without my consent is not only unethical but deeply disrespectful,” she told reporters at a press conference held at the Press Club of Bengaluru. “I have formally brought this to the attention of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and the state government, and I urge them to intervene.”

Thimmakka also made an appeal to her supporters and the general public to maintain peace and avoid confrontation at the filming site. “I request everyone to handle the matter calmly. Please ask the crew if they have obtained permission and, if not, advise them to leave respectfully,” she said.

Tensions reportedly escalated when Thimmakka’s son, Umesh, confronted the film crew. According to Thimmakka, he was subjected to disrespectful remarks and was falsely accused of demanding money and a car.

“These are baseless and defamatory allegations. I strongly condemn them and will be initiating a defamation suit through the courts,” she announced.
