Bengaluru, May 15: A grand spiritual event took place at the Nanjanagudu Sri Raghavendra Swamy Math located in Jayanagar 5th Block, under the guidance of Paramapoojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji and the leadership of the senior administrator of the Math, Sri R.K. Vadheendracharya.
As part of the Thursday celebrations, several special rituals were conducted including Panchamrutha Abhisheka, Kanakabhisheka, Maha Mangalarati, and Annadana Seva. The event witnessed the presence of thousands of devotees who gathered to seek the divine blessings of Guru Raghavendra Swamy.
Sri Nandakishore Acharya, a representative of the Math, shared that the overwhelming turnout reflected the deep devotion of the public.
Notably, former Police Commissioner Sri Bhaskar Rao and Dr. Kiran Kumar, Director of FKCCI, graced the occasion. They participated in the lighting of ceremonial lamps and received Sheshavastra, Phala Mantrakshate, and Parimala Prasada, invoking the blessings of the revered saint.
The serene atmosphere and the devotional fervor marked a spiritually enriching experience for all present.

ತುಳುನಾಡ್ ಮನ್ನ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ವೆಂಕಣ್ಣ ಕೊಯ್ಯೂರು ಅವರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಆಫ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರುನಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, “ನಮ್ಮ ಮನ್ನ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಪೈತೃಕ ಆಚಾರ-ವಿಚಾರ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಲದೈವಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಅಸ್ಮಿತೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಈವರೆಗೆ 30 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ನೀಡಿದರೂ ಎಸ್ಪಿ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಬೇಸರದ ಸಂಗತಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಒಳ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ 98 ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಪಜಾತಿ ಕಾಲಂನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮೂದಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗದ ‘ಮನ್ನ’ ಜಾತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಈ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದು ಅವರ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನೇ ಮರೆಮಾಚುವ ಅಪಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂಘದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಆತಂಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಗಮೋಹನದಾಸ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಘದ ಆಗ್ರಹ:
1. ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು
2. ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಮೂನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಮನ್ನ’ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗದ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಬರೆಯಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬೇಕು
3. ಮನ್ನ ಸಮುದಾಯವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿ, ಒಳ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಅನುಕೂಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು
