ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 30:ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಟೆಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಡಿಯೋಲಾಜಿ ಸೇವೆಯು ಒಂದೂವರೆ ವರ್ಷದೊಳಗೆ 600ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ನೆರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಸಚಿವ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಗುಂಡೂರಾವ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ 82 ತಾಲೂಕು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಈ ಸೇವೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ದುಬಾರಿ ಹೃದಯ ಇಂಜೆಕ್ಷನ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ನಗರದ ಐಐಎಸ್ಸಿ ಟಾಟಾ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಟೆಲಿಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ 21ನೇ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಕೇವಲ 8 ರಿಂದ 9 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸಿಜಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಪರಿಣಿತರಿಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸಲಹೆ ದೊರೆಯುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಈ ವರ್ಷವೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಾಲೂಕು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸಚಿವರು ಮುಂದುವರಿದು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರಿಣಿತರ ಸಲಹೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಲುಪುವಂತೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. “ಎಐ ಮತ್ತು ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ನಮ್ಮಂತಹ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಹಾಯಕ. ಉತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಹಾಗೂ ನವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಸಾಧನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತಜ್ಞರು ದೂರದಿಂದಲೇ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ವೈದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಟೆಲಿ-ರೆಡಿಯಾಲಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಟೆಲಿ-ಆಪ್ತಮಾಲಜಿ ಮೂಲಕ ರೋಗ ಪತ್ತೆಯ ನವೀನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದಿನೇಶ್ ಗುಂಡೂರಾವ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Bengaluru, November 27, 2025: A delegation from the Dalitha Swabhimana Sene, Bengaluru District Committee, met Food and Civil Supplies Minister K.H. Muniyappa at Vidhana Soudha on Thursday evening and submitted a memorandum seeking urgent intervention in issues related to BPL ration cards of poor families and slum residents.
The team — comprising B.K. Sivappa, A.P. Sampath, Sarala Prakash, B. Jayaram, Krishnamoorthy, Ramakrishna and other members — drew the Minister’s attention to the widespread cancellation of BPL cards, which they said has pushed several economically weak families into distress. They requested the government to reinstate all genuine beneficiaries whose cards were cancelled without proper scrutiny.
During the discussion, the delegation pointed out that many families are being denied BPL status merely because they submitted income certificates or IT returns, often done only for availing loans. They stressed that such documents should not be used to disqualify genuinely poor households.
After hearing the concerns, Minister Muniyappa directed the Commissioner to immediately review and restore cancelled BPL cards. He also instructed the department to ensure that eligible families are not deprived of benefits due to technical or procedural lapses.
BPL Eligibility Criteria Highlighted by the Delegation
Families should not own residential property exceeding 1,000 sq. ft within Bengaluru city limits.
Ownership of white-board (commercial) vehicles disqualifies applicants.
Individuals filing annual income tax returns are not eligible under BPL norms.
Households owning more than 3 acres of agricultural land in rural areas do not qualify.
The delegation further clarified that IT returns or income certificates submitted solely for loan purposes should not affect BPL eligibility.
They concluded the meeting with the slogans: “Jai Bhim, Jai Karnataka.”

Bengaluru, November 14, 2025: On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital organized the World Diabetes Day – Diabetic Retinopathy Patient Summit today. This is the third such public awareness program organized by Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, and this time it is a large-scale, multi-location public awareness program including, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Srinagar, Trivandrum and several other cities across India. The hospital also extended Free eye consultations for people with diabetes till 30th November 2025. Additionally, all other patients can avail 50% off on consultation fees during this period.
In India, Diabetic Retinopathy is estimated to affect nearly 3 million people living with diabetes, with poor glycemic control being one of the key contributing factors. High level of blood sugar over a prolonged duration will affect the blood vessels in our eyes, causing them to bulge and bleed which in turn cause damage to the retina and optic nerves, sometimes leading to retinal detachment.
Explaining the significance of the patient summit, Dr. Amod Nayak, Regional Head, Clinical Services, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, said, “Uncontrolled diabetes often affects the blood vessels in our eyes, and will lead to compromising the patients’ vision gradually.
