“Modern Eye Care Can Prevent Blindness, Say Specialists at Vasan Eye Care”

Regular Eye Check-ups Essential for All Age Groups, Says Eye Surgeon Dr. Devika Singh

Bengaluru, January 4: People of all age groups—from children to senior citizens—must undergo regular eye examinations and seek timely treatment to prevent vision loss and other eye-related complications, advised renowned eye surgeon Dr. Devika Singh.

Speaking at Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Rajajinagar, Dr. Singh said that early diagnosis plays a crucial role in effectively managing most eye disorders. “When eye problems are detected at an early stage, treatment becomes simpler and vision loss can be prevented. Unfortunately, many people ignore minor symptoms until the condition worsens,” she noted.
Dr. Singh highlighted that Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Rajajinagar, offers advanced multi-specialty eye care supported by artificial intelligence (AI). She urged the public to make use of these modern facilities for accurate diagnosis and high-quality treatment.

Explaining the importance of eye health, Dr. Singh said the eye is one of the most delicate and vital organs of the human body, and vision loss cannot be compensated. Lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and hypertension often affect eyesight first. “India is fast becoming the diabetes capital of the world. Hence, routine eye screening is no longer optional—it is essential,” she stressed.

She added that regular eye check-ups can help prevent complications related to cataract, glaucoma, corneal disorders, and refractive errors. The hospital provides comprehensive solutions for all major eye conditions under one roof.

Dr. Singh also advised adopting healthy habits such as consuming green leafy vegetables, eggs, and vitamin-rich foods, while reducing prolonged screen exposure, especially late at night. “Limiting excessive mobile and television use and undergoing preventive eye check-ups can significantly reduce the risk of vision impairment,” she said.

Vasan Eye Care Hospital currently offers world-class AI-enabled robotic Femto cataract surgery at affordable costs. “These advanced treatments ensure precision, safety, and faster recovery. People should take advantage of these facilities to safeguard their vision,” Dr. Singh concluded.
