This groundbreaking initiative aims to empower rural communities through the enchanting melodies of Karnataka Music, fostering cultural enrichment and socio-economic development.
The Karnataka Music Rural Empowerment Program is an innovative initiative dedicated to spreading Carnatic music across the state by offering free music education to underprivileged children in rural areas. Through this program, KCMC aims to discover and nurture talent among village youth, providing them with access to the enriching and transformative qualities of Carnatic music. By reaching out to grassroots communities, we seek to not only empower individuals but also preserve and promote our cultural heritage.
Mrs. Revathy Kamath donated Rupees 2.5 Lakhs to Karnataka Classical Music Confederation Trust (KCMC) today.
Additionally, we are proud to unveil the inaugural celebration of the Mysore Vasudevacharya Jayanti, scheduled to take place on May 26th and 27th, 2024. This momentous event, organized by KCMC, will honour the legendary composer Mysore Vasudevacharya for his invaluable contributions to Karnataka music. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Smt. Ananth Raghav Pai, a student from Deeksha CFL PU College, who bagged the 4th rank in the state, said, “The simultaneous guidance for PU and JEE that we got from Deeksha worked wonders for me.
