75 Persons with Differently Abled from all the Southern Region are participating in the Unique Event “Divya Kala Shakti Witnessing the Abilities in Disabilities”

Divya Kala Shakti:- Witnessing Abilities in Disabilities: A Unique Platform for Divyangjan

The Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka Shri. Thaawar Chand Gehlot will witness the regional culturalevent Divya Kala Shakti: Witnessing the abilities in disabilities a unique cultural event at Ravindra Kalakshethra Cultural Centre, Bengaluru, Karnatakaon 6th January 2024 (Saturday). He will be accompanied by the Hon’ble Minister Shri.A Narayanaswamy, Minister of State for Social Justice and a Empowerment, Govt. of India and Senior Officers the Department from the State and Central Government.

This event being organized by National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NIEPMD),Chennai in collaboration with Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyagjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, In this eventaround 500 invitees including Persons with Differently Abled, Parents of Persons with Differently Abled,Teachers, Care-Givers NGOs, etc are expected to witness the program.

This event brings together children and youth with Differently Abled from all the Seven Southernzones viz. AndhraPradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Lakshadweep and Pudhucherry About 75 children and youth with differently abled of various disabilities like Visual Impairment,Hearing Impairment, Locomotor Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual disabilities, Multiple Disabilitiesetc have practiced over a month to display their hidden talents. These artists will perform dance,music, instrumental in classical, folk and modern style. This special event also includes Yoga andAcrobatics. Large number of women participants are also taking parts in this event.

This cultural event, Divya Kala Shakti, provides a wider and unique platform to showcase thepotential of Persons with Differently Abled in the field of performing art, music, dance, acrobatics etc.

The DEPwD,Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India in this direction hasal ready organized two National events on 18th April and 23rd July 2019 respectively at President’s house as well as Parliament Library Building, New Delhi with an objective to spread a wide awareness among all the four pillars of Democracy.

In those event Hon’ble President of India, Hon’ble Vice President, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha, all Union Cabinet Ministers as well as all MPs were present to witness theinnate talent in all Divyang children and Youth. The Hon’ble President with his inspirational speech wantedthis cultural event to be showcased in every nook and corner of the Country, so with his inspirational wordsDEPwD is committed to take it to al! regions More than 10 Divya Kala Shakthi Programs had been organized in various states. so that it can help in changing the role society contribution towards Divyangjan. The DEPwD is committed work in this direction for such kind of platforms through which Divyang can contribute for the socio-cultural and economic growth of the nation which is the vision of the Department. This program is funded under Awareness Generation Program (AGP) of Dept.of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India.

Landmark Agreement in Assam: ULFA Lays Down Arms After 40 Years of Insurgency

In a significant move towards achieving lasting peace and comprehensive development in Assam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed a historic agreement with the insurgent group ULFA. The tripartite agreement, involving the central government, the Assam state government, and ULFA, marks the end of decades-long violence in the region and signals the beginning of a new era in the history of Assam.

The concerned efforts have been underway under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of peace and harmony led forward by Home Minister Amit Shah, to end the dark chapter of violence in Assam and the entire Northeast region. The tripartite peace agreement signed on December 29, 2023, is set to bring an end to decades-old insurgency in the northeastern states.

Assam, having suffered from ULFA violence for an extended period, has witnessed the loss of thousands of lives since 1979. Considering terrorism as humanity’s greatest enemy, Shah’s policies have led to ULFA abandoning violence, disbanding the organisation, and joining the democratic process. Members who have renounced armed struggle are being integrated into mainstream society, with Modi and Shah making every possible effort for their inclusion.

The Home Minister’s decisive step towards establishing peace in Assam, sets a milestone for the future development of the entire Northeast. Shah’s consistent efforts of solving one persistent problem after another in the Northeast contributes to the creation of a India free of violence and terrorism. Shah’s policies have resulted in more than 9,000 cadres pledging allegiance in the Northeast, making significant strides towards building a secure and prosperous nation.

As we reflect on the achievements of the past nine years, there is no denying that the country is in safe hands. With terrorism being effectively curbed under the leadership of Modi and Shah, India is poised for a brighter and more secure future.

Seva-in-Action (SiA), a voluntary organization has been working in the field of disability from thepast 3 decades (since 1985) with the vision of empowering persons with disabilities throughainclusive education, skills development & livelihood.

Quizabled is a first of its kind quiz competition for differently abled students to discover their unique talents and intellectual capabilities. It was conceptualized in 2016 by Seva-in-Action and a powered by LTI Mindtree (erstwhile LTI) under its CSR initiative. It is a Pan India quiz competition where 6000+ differently abled students have been inspired through Quiz abled platform in 10 states across India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, AP, Kerala, Delhi, UP, WB, Orissa & Maharashtra.Quizzing has been made exciting and accessible by professional quizmasters.

13th State Level Philatelic Exhibition “KARNAPEX 2024- A festival of Stamps” in Bengaluru from 5th to 8th January 2024

KARNATAKA Postal Circle is very happy to organize the 13th State Level Philatelic Exhibition “KARNAPEX 2024- A festival of Stamps” in Bengaluru from 5th to 8th January 2024 at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. The last State Level Philatelic Exhibition was held in 2019 in Mangaluru and now Karnapex-2024 is scheduled in Bengaluru. KARNAPEX 2024 aims to promote philately activities and give an opportunity to Philatelists to compete at State Level and further at National Level.

The exhibition will showcase about 690 frames displaying the rare and unique collection of stamps on various subjects highlighting History, Culture, Art, Heritage, Science, Technology, Flora & Fauna, Wildlife etc through Stamps, Special Covers, Special Cancellations and Pictorial Cancellations. The focus areas on each of the days would be:
5th Jan 2024- History & Culture of Karnataka
6th Jan 2024- Science, Technology & Environment
7th Jan 2024- Mental Health & Sports
8th Jan 2024- Women Empowerment

KARNAPEX 2024 has lined up a slew of activities in collaboration with Daak Room for General Public and Students viz., workshops on postcard writing, origami, Mandala Art, Envelope Art, Mural wall art etc. Live all day art counters will be set up for the visitors with Tattoo, Portrait, Caricature artists. Visitors have a chance to win prizes by participating in the impromptu quiz. A Pop-up post office will also be set up to entice the visitors to send a postcard to their loved ones. Visitors can engage in a 5–10-minute conversation with Ms. Ruby Naaz, poetic maestro and get enthralled as she will weave magic to craft a masterpiece poetry. Institutions like ISRO, NIMHANS and Aranya Bhavan will be setting up exciting displays in the arena. Visitors will also get a chance to see the memoirs of Late Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar.

On 9th December 2023 during the Postal Heritage Trail the charming Official Mascot of Karnapex “CHITTIE” was unveiled and the same has become very popular on social media giving wide publicity for KARNAPEX 2024. Selfie points with facility for Polaroid photos are setup to get clicked with Chittie. Street plays were held in Beaulieu on 9th December and at Church Street on 22nd December 2023.

The exhibition venue will have stalls for sale of philately related items viz Stamps, Special Cover, Coins, Ancillaries etc. Department of Tourism, Forest, KMF, KSDL have also setup their stalls for the public visiting the exhibition. Add on to this DOP has also stalls for updation of Aadhaar and My Stamp.
Logo of the event was unveiled at UNESCO identified Heritage Site Halebeedu on 11th October 2023 and a dedicated app for the event was launched at Mysuru on 29th Dec 2023. Social Media Influencers have shown keen interest in the event and are collaborating through social media or physical presence during the event.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಂಗಾಮತ, ಬೆಸ್ತ, ಮೊಗವೀರ, ಕೋಲಿ, ಕಬ್ಬಲಿಗ, ಅಂಬಿಗ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ಉಡುಪಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಮತಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಂಗಾಮತಸ್ಥರ ಸಂಘದವತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಪಾರ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಮೀನುಗಾರ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಾದ, ಮೊಗವೀರ, ಕೋಲಿ, ಕಬ್ಬಲಿಗ, ಗಂಗಾಮತ, ಅಂಬಿಗ ಮುಂತಾದ 39 ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಪದಗಳಿಂದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಗುರುತ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜ ಒಟ್ಟು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 60 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಧೀಕ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೀನುಗಾರರ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸರ್ವೊತ್ತಮುಖ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಅತ್ಯವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಯುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸುವ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ರೂಪಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಿಕತೆ, ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆ ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಸಮಾರ್ಪಣಾ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ಚಿಂತನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರು ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೀನುಗಾರರ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಗಳ ಉನ್ನತಿಕರಣ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೀನುಗಾರರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಗೆಹರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ರಂಗದ ಸಮಚಿತ್ತ ಭಾವದ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ.ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರು ಹಲವಾರು ಭಾಷೆ ಪರಿಣಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಿ ಗೆಲವು ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅವಕಾಶ ಆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಂಧುಗಳು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಂಘದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾ.ಜ.ಪ.ದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಾಯಕರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೂ ಮನವಿ ನೀಡಿ ಹಕ್ಕೊತಾಯ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ಆಶಾಕಿರಣವಾದ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ನೀಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷದವರು ಅರ್ಹತೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮದ್ವರಾಜ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಂಗಾಮತಸ್ಥರ ಸಂಘ(ರಿ)ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ రాజ్య ಉಸಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದ ಗಂಗಾಮತಸ್ಥರ ಸಂಘದ (1) ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಮೌಲಾಲಿ (2)ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಹಾದೇವ ಖರ್ಜಿಗಿ, (3) ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಣ್ಣೂರು ನಾಗರಾಜ, (4) ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮುರಳಿಧರ್.ಸಿ (5) ಬಿ.ಜೆ.ಪಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಅವ್ವಣ್ಣ ಮ್ಯಾಕೇರಿ ರವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
