இலவச நுழைவு – டிசம்பர் 5 முதல் 14 வரை 10 நாள் இலக்கிய மற்றும் கலாச்சார கொண்டாட்டம்

பெங்களூர், நவம்பர் 2025:
கர்நாடகத் தமிழர் சமூகத்தின் பெருமையையும் பண்பாட்டையும் பிரதிபலிக்கும் ‘புத்தகத் திருவிழா 2025’ (Putthaga Thiruvizha) தனது நான்காவது ஆண்டுப் பதிப்பாக பெங்களூருவில் நடைபெறுகிறது. தமிழின் இலக்கியப் பாரம்பரியத்தையும் கலாச்சார வளத்தையும் கொண்டாடும் இந்த விழா, டிசம்பர் 5 முதல் 14, 2025 வரை, தினமும் காலை 10 மணி முதல் இரவு 8 மணி வரை நடைபெறும். நிகழ்விடம் — The Institution of Engineers, இந்தியன் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் அலுவலகம் எதிரில், பெங்களூர்.

இந்நிகழ்வை கர்நாடகத் தமிழ் பத்திரிகையாளர்கள் சங்கமும் தமிழ்ப் புத்தகத் திருவிழா குழுவும் இணைந்து நடத்துகின்றன. எழுத்தாளர்கள், வாசகர்கள், பதிப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் கலை ஆர்வலர்கள் ஒரே மேடையில் சந்திக்கும் ஒரு சுவாரஸ்ய தளமாக இது அமைய உள்ளது.

புத்தகத் திருவிழாவில் பல்வேறு நிகழ்ச்சிகள் இடம்பெறும். அவற்றில் இலக்கிய மாலை (Ilakkiya Maalai), புத்தக வெளியீடுகள், கலை மாலை (Kalai Maalai), பட்டிமன்றங்கள், பாரம்பரிய தமிழாட்டங்கள், மற்றும் மேஜிக் ஷோக்கள் இடம்பெறவுள்ளன. மேலும், பெருமைமிகு ‘கர்நாடகத் தமிழர் விருதுகள்’ வழங்கப்படும் விழாவும் சிறப்பு மலர் ‘சிறப்பு மலர்’ வெளியீடும் நிகழ்ச்சியின் சிறப்பாக அமையும்.

மாணவர்களுக்கு ரூ.100 மதிப்பிலான புத்தகக் கூப்பன்கள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன. அனைத்து பார்வையாளர்களுக்கும் இலவச நுழைவும் வாகன நிறுத்த வசதியும் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ಅಪೋಲೋ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ (ACC), ಬಾನಶಂಕರ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಸೆಲ್ಯುಲರ್ ಥೆರಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ತ–ಮಜ್ಜೆ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಪಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಹೊಸ ಘಟಕ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ರಕ್ತಸಂಬಂಧಿ ರೋಗಗಳ ಆರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಸಮಗ್ರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನೆಮೂಲದ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲೇ ಉತ್ತಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ತಜ್ಞರಾದ ಡಾ. ನೀಮಾ ಭಟ್, ಪ್ರೊ. ಡಾ. ವಿಜಯ ಅಗರವಾಲ್, ಪ್ರೊ. ಡಾ. ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ಎಸ್, ಡಾ. ಪೂನಂ ಮೌರ್ಯ, ಡಾ. ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಮುರಳಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಕ್ಷಯ್ ಓಲೆಟಿ, ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ – ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ, ಅಪೋಲೋ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

ಡಾ. ನೀಮಾ ಭಟ್ ರವರು, “ಈ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಲ್ಯೂಕಿಮಿಯಾ, ಲಿಂಫೋಮಾ, ಮಲ್ಟಿಪಲ್ ಮೈಯಲೋಮಾ, ಥಾಲಸೇಮಿಯಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ರೋಗಗಳಿಗೆ ರಕ್ತಮಜ್ಜೆ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಪಣ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ. ಅನುಭವಸಂಪನ್ನ ತಜ್ಞರ ಬಹುಶಿಸ್ತ್ರ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ”ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಪ್ರೊ. ಡಾ. ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ಎಸ್ ರವರು, “ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಸೋಂಕು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋಟೋಕಾಲ್ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಆರೈಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು.”ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಪ್ರೊ. ಡಾ. ವಿಜಯ ಅಗರವಾಲ್ ರವರು, “ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ದೇಹದ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೋಶಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ರೋಗವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.”ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಅಕ್ಷಯ್ ಓಲೆಟಿ ಅವರು,“ಈ ಹೊಸ ಘಟಕದ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಪೋಲೋ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವತ್ತ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದೆ ”ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Historic Literary Festival for Karnataka’s Tamil Community-“Fourth Tamil Book Festival Returns to Bengaluru – Entry Free”

Bengaluru, November 2025: The much-awaited Putthaga Thiruvizha 2025 (Tamil Book Festival) returns to Bengaluru for its fourth edition, celebrating the rich literary and cultural heritage of the Tamil community in Karnataka. The 10-day festival will be held from December 5 to 14, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily at The Institution of Engineers, opposite Indian Express, Bengaluru.

Organized by the Karnataka Tamil Journalists Association and Thamizh Puthaga Thiruvizha Committee, the event promises a vibrant platform for writers, readers, publishers, and art enthusiasts to come together in a shared celebration of Tamil literature and culture.

The festival will feature a wide range of programmes, including Ilakkiya Maalai (Literary Evenings), book launches, Kalai Maalai (Cultural Nights), traditional Tamil games, magic shows, and Pattimandram (debate sessions). The prestigious Karnataka Thamizh Awards will also be presented, along with the release of a special souvenir edition, Sirappu Malar.

Students attending the festival will receive book coupons worth ₹100, and free parking will be available for all visitors.

Entry to the festival is free.

Singapore Business Federation Expands Global Footprint with New Enterprise Centre in Bengaluru

SBF Opens Singapore Enterprise Centre in Bengaluru to Strengthen Bilateral Business Links

Bengaluru, November 13, 2025: The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) has opened its fourth Singapore Enterprise Centre (SEC) in Bengaluru, marking its first expansion outside Southeast Asia. The centre aims to help Singapore companies, especially SMEs, explore India’s fast-growing market through advisory services, networking, and business collaborations.

The new facility is part of GlobalConnect@SBF, a joint initiative of Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) and SBF that supports businesses in their overseas ventures. India, now the world’s fourth-largest economy with projected GDP growth of 6.6% in 2025, continues to be Singapore’s largest investment destination for the seventh year in a row. The SEC@Bengaluru plans to engage more than 470 enterprises over the next two years through trade missions and market access programs.

The centre was inaugurated by Ms Gan Siow Huang, Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry; Ms Shobha Karandlaje, India’s Minister for Labour and Employment and MSME; and Mr Priyank M. Kharge, Karnataka’s Minister for Electronics, IT & Biotechnology, and Rural Development.

A MoU between LAC Global Pte Ltd and JVKM India (Mitraa Wellness) was signed to boost cooperation in the wellness sector, combining Singapore’s science-based innovations with India’s traditional practices.

SBF CEO Mr Kok Ping Soon said the centre would serve as a single contact point for companies to “learn, land, and localise” in India, reinforcing the strong business partnership between both nations.

Aadhaar Everywhere — Except Where It Matters Most

Aadhaar today is linked to nearly every aspect of daily life — from PAN cards, ration cards, and bank accounts to mobile numbers, LPG connections, school exams, office attendance, and almost all government welfare schemes.

Yet, one crucial link is still missing — the voter ID card.

Speaking to City Today News, G.S. Gopal Raaj, Editor, observed that if Aadhaar can be seamlessly used for income tax, rations, or even vaccination drives during the pandemic, there is no reason why the Election Commission cannot use the same system to clean up the voter rolls. “Linking Aadhaar with voter IDs would instantly help remove fake and duplicate entries, just like it did with ration cards,” he said.

Gopal Raaj further pointed out that while citizens face a fine of ₹10,000 for not linking Aadhaar with their PAN, there is still no such compulsion when it comes to elections — the very backbone of democracy.

He added, “If technology can simplify taxation and welfare delivery, it should also ensure the purity of our electoral process. The Election Commission must act before democracy continues to trip over its own duplications.”
