ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯುವ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಪತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿರುವ ಶಾಸಕ ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ – N. R. ರಮೇಶ್.

• ಸುಮಾರು 300 ಕೋಟಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಬೃಹತ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯದ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಬೃಹತ್ ಹಗರಣ ಬಯಲು.
• ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯುವ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಪತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿರುವ ಶಾಸಕ ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್.
• ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರದ ಹೃದಯಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಾಟನ್ ಪೇಟೆ ಮುಖ್ಯರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಪರ್ ಚಿತ್ರಮಂದಿರದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುವ ಸುಮಾರು 1,19,894 ಚ. ಅಡಿ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣದ ಸ್ವತು.
• PID ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 139-27-139 ರ ಸುಮಾರು 1,19,894 ಚ. ಅಡಿ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣದ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಎಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು 06 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದಯೇ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
• ಈ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.
• ಪೀರ್ ಗ್ರೌಂಡ್ ಎಂದೇ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನ ಮಾಲೀಕತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಪೀರ್ ಸೂಫಿ ಸೈಯದ್ ಶಾ ಶಮ್ ಶುಲ್ ಹಕ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಸಿಟಿ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
• ಇದೇ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಹಿತಾಸಕ್ತಿ ಮೊಕದ್ದಮೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
• ಸಿಟಿ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮೂಲದಾವೆ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ OS # 814 /1982
• ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ – RFA # 1192/2002
• ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ (WP # 14893/2014) PIL ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
• ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸಮಗ್ರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತು “ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಸ್ವತ್ತು”ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತ್ತಲ್ಲದೇ, ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು “ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಸುಪರ್ದಿ”ಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಗೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು.
• ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಸುಮಾರು 1,19,894 ಚ. ಅಡಿ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣದ ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನ ಈಶಾನ್ಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು 18,900 ಚ. ಅಡಿ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣದ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಸ್ಮಶಾನದ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು “ಲಡಾಕ್ ಶಾ ವಾಲಿ ಮಸೀದಿ” ಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು.
• ಇನ್ನುಳಿದ 1,00,994 ಚ. ಅಡಿ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣದ ಸ್ವತ್ತು “ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಆಸ್ತಿ”ಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಸುಪರ್ದಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು.
• ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ 300 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ 2015 ರ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ನಡೆದಿದ್ದವು.
• ಸ್ವತಃ ಅಂದಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಮತ್ರಿಗಳೇ ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ, ಭದ್ರತಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
• ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಾದ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆದೇಶ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ: ನಅಇ/44/ MNG /2015 – dt: 05/02/2015
• ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ Chain link Fencing ಹಾಕಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯು ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿತ್ತು.
• ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ C. S. ಜಗದೀಶ್ ಎಂಬ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರನಿಗೆ 49 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ವೆಚ್ಛದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ದಿನಾಂಕ 19/05/2015 ರಂದು “ಕಾರ್ಯಾದೇಶ ಪತ್ರ”ವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತ್ತು.
• ಆದರೆ, ಕಳೆದ ಐದಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
• ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶದನ್ವಯ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸುಪರ್ದಿಗೆ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕಾಟಾಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಕರೆದು C. S. ಜಗದೀಶ್ ಎಂಬ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರನಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಾದೇಶ ಪತ್ರ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ಕಳೆದ ಐದೂವರೆ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕೇವಲ ಹಲವು ಸಬೂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಪತ್ರ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾಲಹರಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
• ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದಿರುವ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು.
• ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕವಡೆ ಕಾಸಿನ ಕಿಮ್ಮತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡದೇ ಇರುವ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಚಾಮರಾಜಪೇಟೆ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಅಭಿಯಂತರ ತನ್ವೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್.

• ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಅವರ ಆಪ್ತವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ತನ್ವೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಕಳೆದ ಐದಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಚಾಮರಾಜಪೇಟೆ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದ್ದರು.
• ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದಷ್ಟೇ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾಗಿರುವ ತನ್ವೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಹಲವರು ಗುರುತರ ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅಮಾನತಿಗೊಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
• ಈ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಧ್ವನಿ ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಭಕ್ಷಿ ಗಾರ್ಡನ್ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಖಿಲ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಭೋವಿ ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ R. V. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ತನ್ವೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಚಾಮರಾಜಪೇಟೆ ಉಪವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕಂದಾಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಭಾರಿ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲದೇ, BMTF ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
• R. V. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಅವರ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿ BMTF ಪೋಲೀಸರು ಹಲವು ಬಾರಿ ತನ್ವೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಂದಾಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ / ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ವಿಚಾರಣಾ ನೋಟೀಸ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
• ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ವಲಯದ ಜಂಟಿ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು ಈ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕ್ರಮವಹಿಸದ ಚಾಮರಾಜಪೇಟೆ ಉಪವಿಭಾಗದ ARO ಅಶೋಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಂದಾಯ ಪರಿವೀಕ್ಷಕ ತಿಮ್ಮಯ್ಯನವರನ್ನು ಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ವಜಾಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸನ್ನೂ ಸಹ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
• ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಅಕ್ರಮ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳು ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿವೆ.
• ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ವಾರ್ಡ್ 139 ರ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಒಬ್ಬರು 2017 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಟನ್ ಪೇಟೆ ಪೋಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಪೋಲೀಸರು 1) ಸೈಯದ್ ಖಲೀಲ್ 2) ತಾಹಿರಾ ಖಲೀಲ್ ಮತ್ತು 3) ಸೈಯದ್ ರಹೀಸ್ ಖಲೀಲ್ ಎಂಬುವವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ FIR (0211/2017) ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
• ಶಾಸಕ ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಪ್ರಭಾವಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಣಿದಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ತಂತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿರುವ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಈ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ಜಗಜ್ಜಾಹಿರವಾಗಿದೆ.
• ಸದಾ ಒಂದಿಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಸಮಾಜ ವಿರೋಧೀ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಕುಖ್ಯಾತಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್.
• ಶಾಸಕ ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ 06/06/2015 ರಂದು ಅಂದಿನ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರೋಕ್ಷ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದು, ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮುಂದಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸದರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂದಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನೂನು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಹಾಳಾಗುವುದೆಂದೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕೋಮು ಗಲಭೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆಯೆಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ ತಡವಾಗಿ ಈಗಷ್ಟೇ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ.
• ಶಾಸಕ ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಎಂದಿನ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ತಂತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಈ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ತಮ್ಮ ವಿರೋಧವಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
• ಈ ನೆಲದ ಕಾನೂನಿಗೆ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ತಾವು ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನೇ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ರುಜುವಾತುಪಡಿಸಿರುವ ಶಾಸಕ ಜ಼ಮೀರ್ ಅಹಮದ್.
• ಉಚ್ಛ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶದನ್ವಯ 300 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸ್ವತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಸೂಕ್ತ ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರುವ N. R. ರಮೇಶ್.

Government’s aim is to hold the BBMP election as per its term: Revenue Minister R Ashok

Bengaluru, September 07, 2020 : It is the intention of the Government to hold BBMP election in time and therefore a committee has been formed for the purpose, Revenue Minister R Ashok has said.

Speaking to the media after inaugurating the Bommanahalli – BTM Layout link road and bridge he said one stage of the road has been completed and works in certain parts have to be completed.

“Bangalore is growing fast beyond expectation. A lot has been done to provide facilities under the leadership of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa. There is the problem of traffic density in the City. Even I have been trapped in the traffic gridlock at the Silk Board junction. The link road will contribute to the easing or traffic”, he said.

The Bommanahalli – BTM Layout Link Road is being laid at a cost of Rs 15 crore for which area legislator Satish Reddy, Bommanahalli BBMP member and Deputy Mayor Ram Mohan Raj have been instrumental.

The Minister said that it is the responsibility of the Government to provide infrastructure to the city as it grows.

He said the elections to BBMP will be held at the end of its term. Delimitation of wards and other preliminaries is left to the officials, he added.

“The link road will set right the negative reputation in has earned due to tolls and viral videos circulated worldwide. The link road will benefit 50,000 commuters”, BBMP member of Bommanahalli ward C R Ram Mohan Raj said.

Bangalore South Lok Sabha member Tejasvi Surya, Bommnahalli legislator Satish Reddy, BTM Layout legislator Ramalinga Reddy and Mayor Gautam Kumar participated in the inaugural.

Student Innovation Program (SIP) and Targeted Innovation Program (TIP) challenge students to apply cutting-edge technology in designing solutions

BENGALURU and BLUE BELL, Pa., September 18, 2020 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that registration is open for the 12th edition of Cloud 20/20™, the company’s annual flagship technical project competition for engineering students across India.

Established in 2009, the contest enables students to develop career-ready technical and soft skills by applying their theoretical knowledge in using innovative technologies to solve real problems.

The contest is open to research students, postgraduates, pre-final and final-year engineering students in computer science, information technology and other related streams. The contest comprises two primary programs:

The Student Innovation Program (SIP) challenges students to use emerging technologies for original and creative solutions to problems they have defined themselves.
The Targeted Innovation Program (TIP), introduced in 2019, tasks students with solving specific business problems that Unisys and its clients and industry partners submit.

“We are proud that for more than a decade Unisys has provided a strong and stable platform for college and university students to connect effectively with the IT industry,” said K Nageswara Rao, vice president, Unisys Asia Pacific Engineering, Products and Platforms. “The Cloud 20/20 competition not only serves as the stepping stone to the professional world for students, but also helps them establish connections with the business community and gives Unisys access to great ideas and technical thinking as well.”

Both the TIP and SIP programs offer students the opportunity to collaborate with their peers, faculty and Unisys mentors, who provide them with guidance and expertise in the run-up to the competition.

Cloud 20/20 has motivated students to work on innovative projects in cloud-based applications and microservices, cloud computing infrastructure, security and multimodal biometrics, among other advanced disciplines. With close to 50,000 individual member registrations since 2009, the event is one of India’s most anticipated technical contests for engineering students.
