ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಂದ ತೀವ್ರ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರವು, ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂತಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.
ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ಜತೆ ಬುಧವಾರ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರದ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಾ. ಸಿ,ಎನ್.ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥನಾರಾಯಣ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅದರಂತೆ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಜತೆ ಗುರುವಾರ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರಲ್ಲದೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಈಡೇರಿಕೆಯ ಸಾಧಕಬಾಧಕವನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶುಸಂಗೋಪನಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆದಷ್ಟು ಇವೆರಡೂ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಸಚಿವರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಜತೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಚಿತ್ರನಗರಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ, ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು, ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಕೆ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು, ಡಿಐ-ವಿಎಫ್‌ಕ್ಸ್‌ ಉದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಶುಲ್ಕ ವಿನಾಯಿತಿ, ಸಿನಿಮಾ ತೆರಿಗೆ, ಸಕಾಲ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ಜಿಎಸ್‌ಟಿ ವಾಪಸ್‌ ನೀಡಿವುದು, ಫೈರಸಿ ನಿಗ್ರಹ, ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿಯನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸುವುದು, ನೂತನ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ನೀತಿ ರೂಪಿಸುವುದು, ಲಾಕ್‌ಡೌನ್‌ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಥಿಯೇಟರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ತಿ ತೆರಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ವಿನಾಯಿತಿ, ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಮನ್ನಾ, ಸಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಸಬ್ಸಿಡಿ ನೀಡಿಕೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಗಣುರು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅವರು ಕೂಲಂಕಶವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಗಳಂತೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪೂರಕ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಕಾರ ಒದಗಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಅತೀವ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸೈಬರ್‌ ಸೆಕ್ಯೂರಿಟಿ:
ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳ ಪೈರಸಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಆತಂಕವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಕಾರ ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸೈಬರ್‌ ಸೆಕ್ಯೂರಿಟಿ ಖಾತ್ರಿ ಕೊಡಲು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಗಂತುಕರು ಪೈರಸಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹೊಡೆತ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಚರಮಗೀತೆ ಹಾಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸೈಬರ್‌ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಚಿವರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಜತೆ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ನಿಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

September 10, 2020: CAHOTECH 2020, the fifth international healthcare technology conference of the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), will be held virtually from September 25-29, 2020. The theme this year is “Future of Healthcare – Making it Happen.” The annual gathering is considered the biggest healthcare technology event in the country.
More than 1,000 healthcare professionals and delegates will be attending CAHOTECH 2020 virtually to keep themselves updated with latest technology and products related to the healthcare sector. Bengaluru, September 9, 2020: HAL’s indigenously developed Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) demonstrated high altitude capability in Hot and High weather conditions in the Himalayas recently for about 10 days. A comprehensive test plan was executed at Leh (3300 MAMSL) in temperatures up to ISA+320C which included envelope expansion, performance and flying qualities. LUH took off from Leh and demonstrated its hot and high hover performance at Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) at 5000 MAMSL. The helicopter also demonstrated its payload capability in Siachen glacier high altitude. During the trials, pilots landed the helicopter at the highest helipads of Amar and Sonam.
HAL has once again proved its indigenous capability in design & development. The Army version of LUH is now ready for Initial Operational Clearance, says Mr. R. Madhavan, CMD, HAL. According to Mr. Arup Chatterjee, Director (Engineering and R&D), HAL, the performance of the helicopter and its systems are satisfactory fulfilling the requirements of the users. All planned tests were successfully demonstrated.
The flights were carried out by composite trial team which included pilots from HAL, Wg Cdr (Retd) Unni Pillai, CTP (RW), Wg Cdr (Retd) Anil Bhambani, Gp Capt (Retd) Pupinder Singh and Gp Capt V Panwar along with Gp Capt R Dubey, Sq Ldr Joshi (from Indian Air Force) and Lt Col R Grewal & Lt Col Pawan (from Indian Army). Representatives from certification authority witnessed the trials.
The Initial Operational Clearance for basic LUH was accorded by CEMILAC for IAF variant on February 7, 2020 during DefExpo 2020 at Lucknow in the presence of Defence Minister and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
September 8, 2020: Ms. Ch Grace Valentina, a student of M.Sc in Food Technology, from SOS Children’s Villages of India, an International NGO that works for children without parental care or children at the risk of abandonment got her research findings published in the August 2020 issue of Asian Food Science Journal. The research findings were about anti-diabetic, anti-obesity, anti-oxidant, and anti-cancer properties of green coffee extract.
Ms. Valentina came to SOS Children’s Villages – Hyderabad when she was 12 years old. A studious student with a research bent of mind, she chose food and nutrition, her field of passion, for her higher studies. Currently, Ms. Valentina is pursuing 2nd year in MSc Food Technology in Loyola Academy at Old Alwal in Telangana. She is conducting her research experiments in Food and Nutrition at Greensmed Lab in Chennai.
Talking about her research work on green coffee extract, Ms. Valentina said, “The ethnobotanical study on green coffee I conducted with the guidance of my mentors and contributions from fellow researchers, establishes that green coffee beans of Coffee Robusta variety have significant medicinal properties that can fight several lifestyle diseases. We found that the chlorogenic acid in green coffee acts as an antioxidant, aids weight loss, helps in controlling high blood pressure and maintaining blood sugar levels – and reduces the risk of formation of cancer cells.
Ms. Valentina hopes to develop food and nutritional supplements to bring the health benefits of green coffee to the patients, and public at large.
On the focus of her research in food and nutritional supplements, Ms. Valentina said, “Today, lifestyle diseases have emerged as a major health issue. Lifestyle modifications are important to prevent the onslaught of illnesses like obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and cancers. But owing to ever increasing professional demands, many people are unable to make necessary lifestyle modifications – they are not able to follow dietary guidelines. My aim is to create effective natural supplements to help such people maintain health effectively.”
