JASHN-E-YAUM-E-URDU: Grand Celebration of Urdu Language and Culture in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, February 8, 2025: The United Council for Education and Culture (UCEC), in association with Mahfil-e-Nisa, is set to host ‘JASHN-E-YAUM-E-URDU’ (Urdu Day) to celebrate the rich heritage and cultural significance of the Urdu language. The grand event will take place on February 8, 2025 (Saturday), at Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru, from 9:00 AM onwards.

This prestigious celebration aims to highlight the beauty, legacy, and influence of Urdu through cultural performances, interactive activities, and inspiring presentations. A major highlight of the event will be a spectacular aerobics performance and the formation of an India Map by students, symbolizing the nation’s unity in diversity.

The event will witness the active participation of around 800 schoolchildren performing on stage, while nearly 2,000 students, educators, and language enthusiasts will attend as the audience. As part of the celebrations, a children’s rally will be conducted from the indoor stadium, passing through National Games Village (NGV) and covering key landmarks such as the GST Office and Passport Office before returning to the stadium.

Dignitaries and Special Guests

The event will be graced by esteemed dignitaries and leaders, adding to the significance of the occasion.

The rally will be inaugurated by Shri Ramalinga Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Transport, Government of Karnataka.

Chief Guests include:

Dr. K. Rahman Khan – Former Union Minister and Former Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha.

Mr. Zameer Ahmed Khan – Minister for Housing, Waqf, and Minority Affairs, Government of Karnataka.

Mr. Naseer Ahmed – MLC and Political Secretary to the Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Mrs. Bilkees Bano – MLC, Government of Karnataka.

Maulana Mohammad Ali Qazi – Chairman, Karnataka Urdu Academy.



The event is expected to be a vibrant tribute to the Urdu language, bringing together students, educators, and prominent personalities to celebrate its timeless contributions to literature, culture, and Indian heritage.

The details of the event were officially announced during a press conference at the Bengaluru Press Club by Dr. Shaista Yousuf.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೈಂಟ್ ಯಶ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾದ ‘ಯಶ್ ಪರ್ವ’ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 1 ರಂದು ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಜರುಗಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಮಹಾಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮಠದ ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಾ. ನಿರ್ಮಲಾನಂದನಾಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದ ಅಕ್ಕ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ. ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಗೌಡ, ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಕರಾದ ಗಿರೀಶ್ ಲಿಂಗಣ್ಣ, ಎಸ್.ವಿ.ಇ. ಸಮೂಹದ ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ನವೀನ್ ಕೃಷ್ಣೇಗೌಡ, ಹಾಗೂ ಸೈಂಟ್ ಯಶ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಜಯರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕಿದರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಠ್ಯೇತರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಪೋಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜಯನಗರ: ಶ್ರೀ ಪುರಂದರದಾಸರ ಆರಾಧನಾ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜಯನಗರ 5ನೇ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ನಂಜನಗೂಡು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು. ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ 1008 ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬುಧೇಂದ್ರತೀರ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದಂಗಳವರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಶ್ರೀಮಠದ ಹಿರಿಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಆರ್.ಕೆ. ವಾದೀಂದ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜಿ.ಕೆ. ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಹರಿ ವಾಯು ಉತ್ಸವ ಸೇವಾ ಭಜನಾ ಮಂಡಳಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭಜನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು, ಭಕ್ತರಿಗಾಗಿ ರಥೋತ್ಸವ ಮತ್ತು ಅನ್ನ ಸಂತರ್ಪಣೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ನೂರಾರು ಭಕ್ತರು ಈ ಪಾವನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಶ್ರೀಹರಿ, ವಾಯು, ಗುರುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಪುರಂದರ ದಾಸರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾದರು ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ನಂದಕಿಶೋರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವು ಭಕ್ತರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಭಾವನೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವತ್ತ ಒತ್ತಾಸೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
