Purandara Dasa Aradhana Mahotsava Celebrated at Sri Gururaya Sannidhi


Bengaluru: The Sri Purandara Dasa Aradhana Mahotsava was solemnly observed at the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamiji Mutt, located in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, under the divine guidance and blessings of Parama Poojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Teertha Sripadangalavaru.

The event was organised under the leadership of Sri R.K. Vadindracharya, Senior Administrator of the Mutt. The celebrations featured soulful Haribhajana rendered by the Kengeri Chandrika Bhajana Mandali, a spiritually enriching discourse by Kadapa Vasudendra Acharya, and special religious rituals conducted as part of the festivities.

Speaking on the occasion, Priest Sri Nandakishoracharya said that the programme was held with great devotion and traditional fervour in the sacred presence of Sri Gururaya. As part of the Mahotsava, Anna Santarpane (community feast) was organised for the benefit of devotees.

The event witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees, who joined in the celebrations seeking spiritual blessings.

Thousands of Devotees Throng Raghavendra Swamy Mutt on Sankranti Festival

Bengaluru: Thousands of devotees gathered to seek the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy on the occasion of the Sankranti festival and Thursday special prayers at the Nanjangud Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, located in Jayanagar 5th Block.

The religious programmes were conducted under the divine guidance and blessings of Paramapoojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Theertha Sripadangal, with the arrangements overseen by the senior administrator of the Mutt, Sri R.K. Vadindracharya. Priests performed special abhisheka and pooja rituals throughout the day as part of the Sankranti celebrations.
Devotees offered fragrant cardamom garlands with deep devotion, which were accepted and used for a special decoration of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy’s Brindavana, said head priest Nandakishore Acharya. The Brindavana adorned with cardamom garlands drew special attention from the devotees.

Owing to the combined significance of Sankranti and Thursday, the Mutt premises witnessed an overwhelming turnout. A sea of devotees filled the pooja halls, corridors, and the area surrounding the Mutt. Well-organised arrangements, including a systematic queue management, ensured smooth darshan for all.

Devotees received theertha, phala, mantrakshate, and offered prayers while remembering and seeking the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. Special Pongal prasada and anna santarpane (community meal) were distributed to thousands of devotees, who returned spiritually fulfilled.
Several special rituals and festive ceremonies were also conducted as part of the Sankranti celebrations, adding to the spiritual fervour at the Mutt.

Bengaluru: Hundreds of devotees gathered in large numbers at the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, located in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, to seek the divine darshan of Guru Raghavendra on Thursday. The religious observances were conducted under the blessings and directions of Parama Poojya Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadangal, with the overall arrangements led by Sri R.K. Vadindracharya, Senior Administrator of the Mutt.

As part of the Thursday special rituals, elaborate morning poojas and sevas were performed with devotion. Thousands of devotees who visited the Guru Raghavendra Sannidhi were served annadanam, reflecting the Mutt’s commitment to seva and spiritual hospitality. A major highlight of the cultural segment was a Bharatanatyam dance presentation by nearly 75 students, organised by Nritya Disha Trust. The performance was led by renowned danseuse and Trust Director Dr. Darshini Manjunath, with support from her senior disciples Uma, Sneha, and Sahana. The recital beautifully depicted devotional themes and classical aesthetics, earning appreciation from the audience.

Adding to the significance of the event, Shreyas Kashyap, who portrays Guru Raghavendra in the popular television serial Sri Raghavendra Mahathme, visited the Mutt, offered prayers, and received phala, mantra, and akshata as blessings.

Historic Confluence of Seers at Jayanagar Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt Brings Decades-Old Dispute to a Peaceful Close


Bengaluru: A long-standing legal and spiritual dispute between the Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt and the Uttaradi Mutt, relating to the worship of the Yatis at the Navabrindavana in Anegondi, has now been officially and amicably resolved, bringing immense relief and joy to devotees.

For several decades, the issue had been the subject of legal proceedings, including a case before the Hon’ble Supreme Court. During this prolonged period, devotees of both Mutts were troubled by uncertainty and emotional distress. However, in a historic and heartwarming development, the heads of both Mutts came together at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, marking a new chapter of harmony and mutual respect.

On this auspicious occasion, the pontiff of the Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt warmly received the pontiff of the Uttaradi Mutt with floral showers and traditional honours. The seers together offered Mangalarati to Sri Raghavendra Swamy and, in the presence of their disciples, held cordial discussions and formally signed a harmonious agreement, thereby putting an end to the long-pending dispute and dispelling the anxieties of devotees.

This significant development was shared in a press statement by Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt’s Power of Attorney, Sri R. K. Vadindra Acharya, who stated that the unity and mutual understanding demonstrated by both pontiffs had brought great happiness and reassurance to disciples and devotees alike.

The occasion was graced by the presence of several revered seers and scholars, including the pontiff of Kudli Mutt, and eminent scholars such as Raja S. Giriyacharya, Guttala Rangacharya, N.
