World University of Design (WUD) Invites Applications for Admissions 2024

DELHI-NCR / November 24, 2023: The World University of Design (WUD) is currently accepting online applications from candidates eager to secure admission to its diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic year 2024. WUD’s offerings span a broad range of disciplines, including Fashion, Product, Interior, Transportation, Graphic Communication, Animation, Film & Video, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Architecture, and Management. For the upcoming academic session, they have streamlined the application process by making the necessary forms easily accessible on its official website. The WUD Design Aptitude Test (WUDAT 2024) is scheduled for Sunday, January 28th, 2024, and is applicable for almost 30 programs across various disciplines. This design aptitude-based proctored online entrance exam allows candidates to conveniently take the test from the comfort of their homes using laptops. The two-hour examination covers sections with multiple-choice questions in Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, General Knowledge, and a Drawing-based section.

 

As part of the admission process, the university administers the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), Art Aptitude Test (AAT), and General Aptitude Test (GAT) to assess aspirants’ aptitude for creative education and shortlist candidates. The WUDAT exam is a crucial part of this rigorous selection process.

 

WUD also accepts CUET scores for admission into specific degree programs, including BVA in Creative Painting, BVA in Digital Drawing & Illustrations, BPA in Dance, BPA in Music, BBA in Design Strategy & Management, and BBA in Fashion Business Management. Additionally, WUD also share a result partnership with IIT Bombay that holds the national level UCEED & CEED exams. Scores of UCEED and CEED are also accepted for admission into B.Des and M.Des degree programs.

Unique Train Journey-Jagriti G20 Startup 20 Yatra reaches Namma Bengaluru

450 Participants including 70 from G20 Nations are part of G20 Startup 20 Yatra

Bengaluru,30th October,2023: Embarking on a mission to spread the message of the G20 Summit and aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of janbhagidari and inclusive growth, a groundbreaking train journey led by entrepreneurs which commenced its 8000 km voyage across India on October 28 from Mumbai , reached Bengaluru . 450 participants, including 70 from the G20 nations will be part of the entrepreneurship train journey. The 14-day rail yatra, organized in collaboration with Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, Startup 20, and G20, aims to foster global entrepreneurship and inclusivity was a part of a wonderful G20 Start Up event at the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru.

At the Start Up Mela at J N Tata Auditorium in Bengaluru Yatris interacted with over 150 entrepreneurs in the startup arena.

The journey will also focus on India’s capabilities in space, digital and sustainable growth through LIFE.

The mission of the Jagriti G20 Startup 20 Yatra is to take the Delhi Declaration across the nation before passing on the baton to Brazil, which will be assuming the G20 Presidency at the end of November. The Yatra will promote the 5 pillars of the Delhi Declaration which include Inclusive Growth, Green Development, Technological Transformation and Digital Public Infrastructure, Women Empowerment and Culture as a transformative driver.

These key tenets of the Delhi Declaration will be amplified through 7 mega events as part of the Jagriti G20 Startup G20 Yatra. Next events are are planned in Mumbai, Varanasi, Deoria, Delhi (two events) and Gandhinagar with senior leaders gracing these events.

At the conclusion of the Yatra, the baton will be passed on to Brazil by taking water from the rivers of India, and the Ganga to Brazil. Brazil is planning an Amazon Yatra as part of the Startup 20 efforts in the country, along the lines of the Jagriti Yatra.

TCIS Students Learn About Agriculture at GKVK

Bengaluru, July 8, 2023. Students from TCIS – Cambridge International School Whittled Bengaluru recently took a field trip to GKVK (Gandhi Krishi Vigyana Kendra), a university dedicated to agricultural research and education. The students, who are in grades 7 and 8, learned about different aspects of agriculture, including sericulture, biotechnology, and integrated farming.

At the Sericulture Department, students learned about the different stages of silk production, from raising silkworms to reeling the silk. They also visited a mulberry tree garden, where they saw how the silkworms feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree.
At the Biotechnology Department, students observed tissue culture media for tobacco plants, transgenic plant research work, and genetically modified plants such as Bt Cotton. They also learned about the benefits of using biotechnology in agriculture.
At the Integrated Farming Sector (IFS), students learned about drip irrigation, a modern method of irrigation that is more efficient than traditional methods. They also saw how IFS is used to grow a variety of crops, including vegetables, fruits, and cereals.
The field trip was a valuable learning experience for the students. They were able to see first-hand how agriculture is practiced and how biotechnology can be used to improve crop yields. They also learned about the importance of sustainable farming practices.

The management of TCIS thanked GKVK for hosting the field trip and providing the students with an opportunity to learn about agriculture. They said that the field trip was aligned with the biology syllabus of grades 7 and 8 and that it would help the students to improve their knowledge of agriculture.
