MyThali Arogya World’s first session in their Street Food Vendor Training initiative had a significant impact, marking a strong start to MyThali’s pledge to Arogya City to educate 500 street food vendors. Here are the highlights:

Participation: Today’s session saw 56 food vendors joining the first Street Food Vendor Training session.
Interactive Session: The session was very interactive with constant communication and back and forth. Some vendors were already aware of the health hazards of eating high salt and fried foods. Many acknowledged that their customers ask for healthier options, motivating them to find ways to provide these. Some vendors even called their friends to join the session after hearing MyThali’s advocacy.

Educational Content: Vendors were educated on healthier cooking methods, healthy eating, reduction of oil and salt usage, safe oil reuse practices, and the impact of unhealthy eating on Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Empowerment: This initiative focused on empowering street food vendors by highlighting the critical role they play in influencing what India eats and, consequently, the nation’s future health.
Handouts: Each Street Food Vendor was given a special MyThali apron, Training Certificate, and informative flyer that condensed the session into easy tips for quick reference.
Future Plans: MyThali plans to conduct 10 interventions to reach 500 street food vendors over July and August.

This initiative has set a positive tone for future sessions and has already begun to make a meaningful difference in the community.

MTR KARUNADU SWADAA Unique Food Festival Celebrating Karnataka

Bengaluru, 03 May, 2024 – Continuing with its 100-year celebration, MTR is back with the 3rd edition of its iconic Food Festival – MTR Karunadu Swada. This cherished food festival is being held on 4th and 5th May at Jayamahal Palace Convention Centre in Bangalore with an aim to delight the hearts of consumers and make them experience often-forgotten recipes from various parts of Karnataka.

The festival was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice N. Santosh Hegde, Former Solicitor General of India.
