ದಿನಾಂಕ 22.12.2023 ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 12.00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಇವರ ಅಮೃತ ಹಸ್ತದಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರು ಪೆರಿಫೆರಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಭೂಮಿ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಸದರಿ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಮಾಜ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಡಾ.ಎಚ್.ಸಿ.ಮಹಾದೇವಪ್ಪರವರು ಡಾ.ಯತೀಂದ್ರ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ,ಡಾ. ವಿ.ಲೋಕೇಶ್, ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ ಹರೀಶ್ ಗೌಡ ರವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. 

ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಗಂಥಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (ಕಿ.ಸ್ಮಾ.ಗಂ.ಸಂ), ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಇದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸ್ವಾಯತ್ತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ, ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಇದು ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ (RCCs). ಕಿ.ಸ್ಮಾ.ಗಂ.ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಒಂದು ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದ ವಿಶೇಷ ತೃತೀಯ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಆರೈಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರವೂ ಸಹ ಆಗಿದೆ.

ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದೊಂದು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅರೆ-ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರ ಸಮೂಹಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತರ್‌ಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ತಜ್ಞ ತಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ ಹಾಗು ಸುಧಾರಿತ, ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಕಿ.ಸ್ಮಾ.ಗಂ.ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ 1980ರನವೆಂಬ‌ರ್ ಒಂದರಂದು ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರ (RCC) ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ (UICC) ಸದಸ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಶ್ವ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ (WHO)ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಗಂಥಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾಯತ್ತ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ, ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ, ಬಹುಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ,ಸರ್ವತೋಮುಖ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ತೃತೀಯ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿ ವಿಕಸನಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ/ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕವಾಗಿ, ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಅರಿವು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಜಿತ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.

ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಗಂಥಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಸುಮಾರು 20,000-21500 ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಮೂರರಿಂದ ಮೂರೂವರೆ ಲಕ್ಷ ಅನುಸರಣಾ ಭೇಟಿಗಳಿವೆ. ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಗಂಥಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅನುದಾನದ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಗಂಥಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ವಿಶೇಷ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ತಪಾಸಣೆ (ಸ್ತ್ರೀನಿಂಗ್), ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ. ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಗಂಥಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಐದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆರಿಫೆರಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್

ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಮಂಜೂರಾತಿ ನೀಡಿತು. ಕಲ್ಬುರ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆರಿಫೆರಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು 100 ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ತಪಾಸಣೆ, ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕಲಬುರುಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರು, ತುಮಕೂರು, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪೆರಿಫೆರಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪೆರಿಫೆರಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ನಿಯಮಿತ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಅರಿವು ಮತ್ತು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಜನ-ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು, ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿದೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ತಪಾಸಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಲು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬಡ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಆಯುಷ್ಮಾನ್ ಭಾರತ್ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ (ABArK), ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ನಿಧಿ (RAN), ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನಿಧಿ, ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ವೈಎಸ್‌ಆರ್ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟುಗಳ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಉಪಯೋಜನೆ, ಮಾಜಿ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಯೋಜನೆ, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಯೋಜನೆ (CGHS) ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ವಿಮಾ ಯೋಜನೆ (ESI) ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನಗದುರಹಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಫೆರಿಫೆರಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು ಹೊಂದಿವೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿನ ಈ PCCಗಳಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ, ವಿಕಿರಣ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ (ರೇಡಿಯೊಥೆರಪಿ), ರಾಸಾಯನಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ (ಕೀಮೋಥೆರಪಿ) ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.

ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಈ ಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ನೆರೆಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಾದ ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ, ಕೊಡಗು, ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಸನ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಗಳ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 4200 ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದಾದ 10,500 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ರೋಗಿಗಳು, ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ತಪಾಸಣೆ, ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವಂತೆ, ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ವಿಧಾನವು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸುದೀರ್ಘವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ನಂತರ, ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೆ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಅನುಸರಣೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಮತ್ತು ನೆರೆಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ನೋಂದಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ 2300ರಿಂದ 3150 ರೋಗಿಗಳು ಕಿದ್ವಾಯಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಗಂಥಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ, ಪ್ರಚಲಿತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ, ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ರೋಗತಪಾಸಣೆ, ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು.
