இன்று காலை 10:00 மணிக்கு, பெங்களூருவில் உள்ள அரசு தலைமைவசதியில், “அஹிந்தா” இயக்கத்தின் கிரிஸ்தவ சமூக தலைவர்கள் கர்நாடக மாநில முதல்வர் திரு சித்தராமையாவை நேரில் சந்தித்து, கிரிஸ்தவ சமூகத்தின் நலனுக்காக முக்கிய கோரிக்கைகளை வலியுறுத்தி, அதிகாரப்பூர்வமான மனுவொன்றை சமர்ப்பித்தனர்.

முக்கிய கோரிக்கைகள்:

1. மதம் மாறிய எஸ்சி சமூகங்களுக்கு பகுதி–1 வகை தொடர வேண்டும்:
கிறிஸ்துவ மதத்தை ஏற்ற எஸ்சி சமூகங்கள் தற்போது பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட வகைகளின் பட்டியலில் பகுதி-1 ஆக உள்ளன. இந்த வகைக்கு ‘கேனே படரா’ சலுகை உள்ளது. எனவே, இவை தொடர்ச்சியாக பகுதி-1-இல் அடங்க வேண்டும் என அவர்கள் கோரிக்கை வைத்தனர்.


2. கிறிஸ்தவ சமூகத்திற்கான புதிய வகைப்பாடு தேவை:
தற்போது கிறிஸ்தவ சமூகம் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட வகைகளின் பட்டியலில் பகுதி-III(B)-இல் சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் இதில் உள்ள பிற சமூகங்கள் பொருளாதார, கல்வி, அரசியல் மற்றும் சமூக ரீதியாக முன்னேறிய நிலையில் உள்ளன. இதனால் கிறிஸ்தவ சமூகம் போட்டியிட முடியாமல் பின்னடைந்துள்ளது. எனவே, பகுதி-III(B) மற்றும் III(A)-இலிருந்து கிறிஸ்தவ சமூகத்தை நீக்கி, மற்ற ஒத்த பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட சமூகங்களுடன் சேர்க்க வேண்டும் என்றனர்.

முன்வைக்கப்பட்ட கோரிக்கைகளை அரசு கவனத்தில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு பரிசீலனை செய்யும் என முதல்வர் திரு சித்தராமையா அவர்கள் உறுதியளித்ததாக, குழுவினர் தெரிவித்தனர்.

Christian Leaders from “AHINDA” Meet Chief Minister; Submit Memorandum on Community Welfare

A delegation of Christian community leaders associated with the “AHINDA” movement met Honourable Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah at his official residence in Bengaluru today at 10:00 AM. The purpose of the meeting was to present a memorandum outlining key demands pertaining to the social and economic welfare of the Christian community.

Key Demands Submitted:

1. Continuation of Category-I Status for Converted SC Communities:
Communities that have embraced Christianity but originally belong to the Scheduled Castes are currently classified under Category-I of the Backward Classes list, which provides for ‘Kene Padara’ (creamy layer) exemption. The delegation requested the government to continue this classification in order to ensure sustained access to social justice and benefits.


2. Reclassification of the Christian Community in the Backward Classes List:
The Christian community is presently listed under Category III(B) of the Backward Classes. However, other castes within this group are significantly advanced in economic, political, educational, and social aspects, making it difficult for Christians to compete on equal footing. Therefore, the delegation urged the government to reclassify the Christian community by removing it from Categories III(A) and III(B) and placing it with other homogenous and socially backward groups. This, they emphasized, would foster better opportunities for development and inclusion.



Honourable Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah is said to have assured the delegation that the demands would be taken into serious consideration.

ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮೌಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾನತೆಯ ಪರಿಪಾಲನೆಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ, ಇಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ “ಅಹಿಂದ” ಚಳುವಳಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಧರ್ಮೀಯ ಮುಖಂಡರ ನಿಯೋಗವು, ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ನಿವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ, ಸಮುದಾಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಮನದಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಖಿತ ಮನವಿಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.

ಮನವಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು:

1. ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮತಾಂತರ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಎಸ್ಸಿ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-1 ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು:
ಈ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳು ಈಗಿರುವ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-1ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು, ‘ಕೆನೆಪದರ’ ವಿನಾಯಿತಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಹತೆಯಿದೆ. ಸಮಾಜದ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಸಮುದಾಯವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-1ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡುವಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಮನವಿಗೆಳೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ.


2. ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪುನರ್ವರ್ಗೀಕರಣದ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ:
ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಹಾಲಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-III(B)ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಇತರ ಜಾತಿಗಳು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ, ರಾಜಕೀಯ, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಲು ನಾನಾ ಅಡಚಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಈ ಸಮುದಾಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-III(A) ಮತ್ತು III(B)ಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗಿಟ್ಟು, ಇತರ ಸಮಾನ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.



ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ:

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 7: ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ಎರಡರ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಆತಂಕವನ್ನು ಹಿರಿಯ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಟಿ ಟುಡೇ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾದ ಜಿ.ಎಸ್. ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಮೀಪದ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಸಂವಾದದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, “ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದಾಗ ಧರ್ಮ ತನ್ನ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಶುದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ತನ್ನ ಸೈಕ್ಯುಲರ್ ತಾತ್ವಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು. ಧರ್ಮವು ಜನರಿಗೆ ನೈತಿಕ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರಚಾರದ ಸಾಧನವಾಗುವುದೇ ಅಪಾಯಕರ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಭಾರತ ಸಂವಿಧಾನವು ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿರಿಸಲು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಸೂಚಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿ, ಈ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ನಡೆಯುವುದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಏಕತೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯ ತೀವ್ರ ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನೆಂಟಿಸಬಲ್ಲದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು. “ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುಯಾಯಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಭಾರೀ ಪ್ರಭಾವವಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಲಾಭಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಳಸುವುದು ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಮೂಲ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಗುರುಗಳು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಇದು ಮತದಾರರನ್ನು ವಿಭಜಿಸುವಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಧರ್ಮದ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿರೋಧ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ತಡೆಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ, ನಾಗರಿಕ ಸಮಾಜ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ರಾಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. “ಭಾರತ ವಿಭಿನ್ನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕತೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ ದೇಶ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮ ರಾಜಕೀಯವನ್ನು ಅತಿಕ್ರಮಿಸಬಾರದು, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಸೈಕ್ಯುಲರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಹೊಣೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಕರಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹಕ್ಕು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರು ತನಕ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ಮಿಶ್ರಣದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯ ಘಂಟೆ ಆಘಾತಿಸಿದೆ.

Religious Leaders’ Involvement in Politics Harms Both Faith and Governance: GS Gopal Raaj

Bengaluru, April 7: In a powerful and thought-provoking statement, GS Gopal Raaj, senior journalist and Editor of City Today News, has voiced serious concern over the increasing involvement of religious leaders in political affairs. He cautioned that this trend is not only detrimental to the sanctity of religion but also to the integrity of democratic governance.

Allowing religion to hijack politics, or vice versa, threatens the very fabric of our pluralistic democracy,” he warned.
