ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: 2022ರಲ್ಲಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯವು ದೇಶೀಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ–ಖಾಸಗಿ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿ (PPP) ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಗೌರವ್ ರೈಲು ಯೋಜನೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ರೈಲು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಮೊದಲ ಭಾರತ ಗೌರವ್ ರೈಲು ಸಂಚಲನಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲು ಹಾಕಿದೆ.
ಈವರೆಗೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ರೈಲು 43 ಪ್ರಯಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು, ಒಟ್ಟು 2,43,000 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, 21,000ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ, ಆರಾಮದಾಯಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಅನುಭವ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಇದೀಗ, ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತದ ಅಗ್ರ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ರೈಲು ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾಗಿ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿರುವ ಟೂರ್ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ಮೂಲಕ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ರೈಲು ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಯಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಶಿವ ಸಾಯಿ ಯಾತ್ರೆ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ.

ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಪರಂಪರೆ

Bengaluru, August 23, 2025: Cutting-edge cancer research and innovations were brought closer to Indian patients today as the Best of ASCO 2025 Annual Meeting opened in Bengaluru. The two-day conference, officially licensed by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and hosted by the Global Healthcare Academy (GHA), has gathered more than 500 oncologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals to explore the latest advances in prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancer.
As India’s first Med Ed-tech platform dedicated to Continuing Medical Education (CME), GHA is working to connect global scientific progress with local healthcare needs. Through events like Best of ASCO, the academy ensures Indian doctors, students, and researchers gain timely access to breakthroughs that can transform patient care.
Awareness and Early Detection Take Center Stage
While discussions showcased innovations such as immunotherapy, targeted drugs, and CAR-T cell therapy, experts repeatedly emphasized that awareness, preventive choices, and early detection remain as powerful as advanced treatments.
In India, late-stage diagnosis continues to impact survival rates. Experts identified pollution, pesticide use, tobacco consumption, unhealthy diets, and limited awareness of family history as key drivers of the country’s cancer burden.

BENGALURU, August 19, 2025: Eye specialists in Bengaluru are reporting a steep rise in vision problems such as myopia and astigmatism over the past decade, with children, young adults, and IT professionals being the most affected. Doctors attribute this surge to excessive screen time, limited outdoor activity, and the pressures of academics and work.
To address this growing concern, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital has launched the Wavelight EX500 Contoura Excimer Laser in Bengaluru — an advanced, topography-guided LASIK system that offers precise, personalised vision correction.
Refractive errors, caused when the eye fails to focus light correctly, are now increasingly common in Karnataka, particularly among children aged 8–15 and young adults between 20–35 years. Experts warn that without early detection and timely treatment, these conditions could lead to complications such as lazy eye in children and persistent eye strain in adults.
