Bengaluru, Feb. 23: The elections to the Bengaluru City District Unit of the Karnataka Working Journalists Association (KWJA) concluded on a spirited note, with Somasekhar Gandhi being elected as the President.

Parimala H.S. secured the position of Vice President, while H.K. Basavaraj and K.S. Swamy were chosen as General Secretaries. Jayakumar Gowda, K. Harish, K.L. Lokesh, and Godavari D.S. were elected unopposed as Secretaries, reflecting strong consensus within the fraternity.

Announcing the results, District Election Officer V. Nanjundappa declared T. Mohan elected as Treasurer and H.R. Ravish as Member of the State Executive Committee.

In the contest for the District Executive Committee, Ravikanth Kundapur secured the highest number of votes to claim the top position, while Gandasi Sadananda Swamy followed closely to take second place, underscoring robust participation and democratic engagement among members.

Other candidates elected to the committee include B.S. Ramachandra, Ramakanth Guggari, Gangaraju, Nataraj, Mohankumar, Rajagiri Pradeep, Lingaraju Nonavinakere, Sharan Basappa, N. Shivananda, and S. Shyam.

The voting process witnessed enthusiastic participation from journalists across the region, with State President Shivananda Tagadur present on the occasion. State Chief Election Officer Ravi Kumar Telex expressed gratitude to members for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the elections.

Extending his greetings, Gs Gopal Raaj, Editor of City Today News, congratulated the newly elected office-bearers and committee members, expressing confidence that the team would strengthen journalistic values, promote professional unity, and work towards the welfare and rights of working journalists in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru’s Aakash Star Scores 99.99 Percentile in JEE Main 2026

Aakash students shine in JEE Main; Adarsh Kumar Behera scores 99.99 percentile

Bengaluru, February 17, 2026: Students of Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) in Bengaluru have delivered an impressive performance in JEE Main 2026 (Session 1), reaffirming the city’s strong academic standing in national-level competitive exams.

According to results announced on February 16 by the National Testing Agency (NTA), several students from Aakash centres across Bengaluru secured top percentiles.
Adarsh Kumar Behera from the Indiranagar branch emerged as the highest scorer among the city’s Aakash students, securing an outstanding 99.9924416 percentile — one of the top scores in the region.

Other high scorers include Ayushs Kolekar (99.98), Pranil Singi (99.9679961), Adarsh Das (99.8937351), Gokul Harikrishnan (99.8824), Naman Agarwal (99.8501128), TRS Sanjeet (99.8206943), Gudal Satya Yashasw (99.7291315), Johaan Job (99.6938658), Vyom Gupta (99.667), Shivansh Pant (99.6410596), Aditya (99.6189341), Sai Nitin S Kolekar (99.4840725), Darshan Harish (99.4566), Kaushal Gundu (99.4472622), Aditya Sharma (99.4147615) and Advaith Raveendran (99.359).

Congratulating the achievers, Dheeraj Kumar Misra, Chief Academic and Business Head, AESL, said the results reflect the students’ dedication and the institute’s structured academic approach. “Their discipline, focused preparation and consistent mentoring have translated into exceptional outcomes. We are proud of their achievements and wish them continued success,” he said.

Students attributed their performance to regular mock tests, continuous assessments and personalised guidance, which helped them identify gaps early and steadily improve their scores.
JEE Main is conducted twice a year, offering candidates an opportunity to better their scores. The examination serves as a gateway to NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutions, besides qualifying students for JEE Advanced — the entrance test for the prestigious IITs.

ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಹ್ಯಾಪಿಯೆಸ್ಟ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ Ashok Soota ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಬಾಡಿ ಡೈನಾಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕು, ಪುನಶ್ಚೇತನವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸುಧಾರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಗ್ರ ವೇದಿಕೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ದೇಶ. ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕ್‌ಗಳು, ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಎರ್ಗೋನಾಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸೇವೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಫಿಸಿಯೋ-ಯೋಗ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಭಾರತಿ ಅವರ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ದಿಸೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Nothing opens first India flagship store in Bengaluru, signals long-term bet on market

Bengaluru, February 14, 2026: London-based consumer technology brand Nothing on Friday opened its first flagship store in India, choosing Bengaluru as the launchpad for its physical retail journey in the country. The store was inaugurated by CEO Carl Pei along with co-founder and India President Akis Evangelidis, underlining the company’s growing focus on the Indian market.

Spread across 5,032 sq ft, the new flagship brings together the full range of Nothing and CMF products, along with official merchandise such as apparel. More than a retail outlet, the space is positioned as a community hub designed to encourage hands-on exploration, interaction and storytelling around the brand.

The store’s design reflects Nothing’s unconventional philosophy, drawing inspiration from the retro-futuristic assembly lines of the 1970s. With exposed concrete, aluminium, steel and glass, the space embraces raw materials and visible structures, reinforcing the brand’s emphasis on transparency—both in design and intent.

“This flagship is a major milestone for us in India,” said Evangelidis. “We didn’t want to create a traditional retail store. Our aim was to build a space where people can experience our products, understand our design thinking, and form a deeper connection with the brand. Indian consumers value physical interaction and design-led innovation, and this store allows us to engage with them more meaningfully.”

Beyond product displays, the store features several experience-led elements, including a creator studio for content shoots, location-exclusive customised products, interactive installations such as vending machines and claw games, and conveyor-belt style product showcases. A dedicated community area for events and casual meet-ups, along with complimentary refreshments, adds to the immersive experience.

Located on 100 Feet Road in Indiranagar, the Bengaluru store is part of Nothing’s expanding global retail presence, following its London outlet in Soho and ahead of planned launches in New York and Tokyo. The store will be open daily from 11 am to 9 pm.
The launch comes at a time when Nothing has been gaining strong traction in India. According to Counterpoint Research, the brand has emerged as the fastest-growing smartphone company in the country in seven of the last eight quarters, driven by its community-led approach, distinctive design language and focus on long-term brand building.
