Call for Applications: 2nd Edition of Silicon Road’s International Accelerator

Bengaluru, 1st April, 2020: Silicon Road, US-based early-stage venture capital firm, has opened the call for applications for its Indian accelerator. The accelerator is designed to attract the best food tech and retail startups to participate in a 4-month acceleration program with access to the best mentors from the U.S., India and Israel.

The 2nd Cohort of the accelerator program will include seed funding, access to eminent mentors in the food and retail space across the globe, infrastructure support and an ecosystem that will help the startup scale to the next level.  The Accelerator program leverages three primary hubs of innovation in the US, India and Israel to give the most revolutionary ideas in food and retail a global platform. 

As a runup to the 2nd cohort, Silicon Road recently organized a Global Food Technology Conference in Mysuru, called Silicon Road Innovation in Food Technology (SRIFT 2020). This event was a confluence of top Food MNCs from India, food tech research organizations, academia and startups.  Several FoodTech startups and researchers came together to showcase their products and concepts.  During the conference, Silicon Road also launched 4 new products to the market.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ಈಗ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಎಲ್ಲ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹರಡಿದೆ. ಈವರೆಗೆ 700,000 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನತೆ ಸೋಂಕು ಹಬ್ಬಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು 33,000 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್ ನಡುವೆಯು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ 29 ಸಾವು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದು ಸೋಂಕಿತರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 1000 ದಾಟಿದೆ. ನಿಸ್ಸಂಶಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ನ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಇಡೀ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಏಂಜಲ್ ಬ್ರೋಕಿಂಗ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಾನ್-ಅಗ್ರಿ ಕಮಡಿಟಿಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಕರೆನ್ಸಿಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಚೀಫ್ ಅನಾಲಿಸ್ಟ್ ಪ್ರಥಮೇಶ್ ಮಲ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಈ ವಾರದ ಕೃಷಿಯೇತರ ಸರಕುಗಳ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಚಿನ್ನ: ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಚೇತರಿಕೆಯ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿದ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ವಾರ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 8 ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ಮಿತಿಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಫೆಡ್ 2 ಟ್ರಿಲಿಯನ್ ಪ್ಯಾಕೇಜ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆದರು ಯು.ಎಸ್ ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು ದಾಖಲೆಯ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದಂತೆ. ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಡಾಲರ್ ಕಡಿಮೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ನಡೆಸಿ ಬುಲಿಯನ್ ಮೆಟಲ್ ಬೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿದೆ.

ತಾಮ್ರ: ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಲಾಕ್‌ ಡೌನ್‌ ಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೂಲ ಲೋಹದ ಬೆಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾನಿಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ವಾರ ಎಲ್‌ ಎಂಇಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಸ್ ಮೆಟಲ್ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಮಿಶ್ರ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದನ್ನು ನಾವು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅಲ್ಯೂಮಿನಿಯಂ ಬೆಲೆಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಷ್ಟ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡ ಒತ್ತಡ ಮತ್ತು ಯು.ಎಸ್. ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಚೋದಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಕೆಂಪು ಲೋಹದ ಬೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ ಎಂಇ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಶೇಕಡ 0.2 ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ.

ತೈಲ: ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕುಗಳು ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ಕಠಿಣ ಪ್ರಚೋದಕ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯುಟಿಐ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ಬೆಲೆ ಕಳೆದ ವಾರ ಶೇಡಕ 0.7 ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಕಚ್ಚಾ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಕಳವಳವನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದವು. ಜಾಗತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯ ಕುಸಿತವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಆಳವಾದ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಕಡಿತಕ್ಕೆ ತೈಲ ಸಂಸ್ಕರಣಾಗಾರಗಳು ಬ್ರೇಸ್ ಹಾಕಿದ ನಂತರ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಕೆಲವು ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡವು.

ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಈಕ್ವಿಟಿ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಶೇಕಡ 5 ರಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿಕೆ

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳ ಏರಿಕೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಜಾಗತೀಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲ್ಲಣ ಶುರುವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈವರೆಗೆ ಈ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗವು 700,000 ಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದೆ. 30,000 ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜನರು ಮರಣಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ವೈರಸ್ ನ ಒತ್ತಡವನ್ನು ಷೇರು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಏಂಜಲ್ ಬ್ರೋಕಿಂಗ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಹೆಡ್ ಅಡ್ವೆಂಸರಿ ಆಮರ್ ದಿಯೋ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕರಡಿ ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರರ ಭಾವನೆ, ದುರ್ಬಲ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಮ್ಮಿತ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಅಂಶಗಳು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಇಂದು ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಸಹ ಶೇಕಡ 4.48 ಮತ್ತು ಸೆನ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ ಶೇಕಡ 4.6 ರಷ್ಟು ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ. 

ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಸೂಚನೆ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳು ಕಡಿಮೆ ತೆರೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ: ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳಿಂದ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸೆನ್ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ ಇಂದು 530 ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಸಹ 8,400 ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ ಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠದಿಂದ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿತು. ಇದರ ನಡುವೆಯೇ 8,600 ಅಂಕದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಮಾರಾಟದ ಒತ್ತಡದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಪುಲ್ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಮರೆಯಾಯಿತು.

ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರರನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣ: ಕಳೆದ ವಾರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರಕ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಭರವಸೆಯಿಂದ ಅನೇಕ ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ನಾವು ಪುಲ್ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆದರು  ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪರಿಹಾರವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಕೊರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಅತೀಯಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿವೆ.
ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಷೇರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಾರಾಟವು ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ: ಇಂದಿನ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಎಫ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಐ ಆಟಗಾರರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸದ ಹೆಸರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎನ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಇಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಜಾಜ್ ಫೈನಾನ್ಸ್ ಶೇಕಡ 11.8, ಎಚ್‌ಡಿಎಫ್‌ಸಿ ಶೇಕಡ 11.13, ಎಚ್‌ಡಿಎಫ್‌ಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಶೇಕಡ 8.05, ಐಸಿಐಸಿಐ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಶೇಕಡ 7.78 ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಟಕ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಶೇಕಡ 7.5 ರಷ್ಟು ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಫ್ಟಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಶೇಕಡ 6 ರಷ್ಟು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ಆಗುವುದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ: ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತವಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಪರಿಣಾಮವು ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ಧಾರಕ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ವೈರಸ್ ಹರಡುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಧಾನಗೊಳಿಸಿವೆ.  ಆದರು ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆ.

ನಿರಂತರ ಕಲಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಡೆರಹಿತ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಿ ದೇಶದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಅವಶ್ಯಕ. ಲೈವ್ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ದೂರದ-ಕಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದ ಮೂಲಕ ವರ್ಚುವಲ್ ತರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ರೆಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸೆಷನ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿದಷ್ಟು ಬಾರಿ ಪುನಃ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸೆಷನ್‌ಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನೈಜ-ಸಮಯದ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಲೈವ್ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಅನುಮಾನ ಅವಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ನಡೆಸಬಹುದು.

 “ಮುಂದಿನ ಕಲಿಕಾ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಸರಿಯಾದ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡಲು ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ‘ಸ್ಕೂಲ್-ಇನ್-ಎ-ಬಾಕ್ಸ್ ಪ್ಲಾಟ್‌ ಫಾರ್ಮ್ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ನೆಕ್ಸ್ಟೆರ್ಪ್, ನೆಕ್ಸ್ಟ್ ಎಲ್ಎಂಎಸ್, ಲೈವ್ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳು, ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ತರಗತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನವುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವರ್ಚುವಲ್ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಲೈವ್ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವು ನಿಜವಾದ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಪುನರಾವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ನೆಕ್ಸ್ಟ್ ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಿಇಒ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಬಿಯಾಸ್ ದೇವ್ ರಲ್ಹಾನ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
“ಲೈವ್ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಕಲಿಯಲು ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಲಾಕ್‌ ಡೌನ್ ಅವಧಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ರಜೆಯಲ್ಲ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಲು ಅವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಇದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಚೆನ್ನೈ ನ ದಯಾಸದನ್ ಅಗರ್ವಾಲ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ವಿಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
