ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರ ನೀಡಿದ ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಪ್ರಸುತಿ & ಸ್ತ್ರೀರೋಗ ತಜ್ಞ ವೈದ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ . ಶಶಿಕಲಾ ಕ್ಷೀರಸಾಗರ ಅವರು , “ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅಧಿಕ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡವು ಪ್ರಸವಪೂರ್ವ ಜನನ , ಸೆಳೆತ , ಭ್ರೂಣದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂಠಿತ , ಗರ್ಭಾಶಯದಿಂದ ಬಹುಬೇಗನೇ ಹೊಕ್ಕುಳ ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಬೇರ್ಪಡುವುದು , ಮೂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೊಟೀನ್ ಮತ್ತು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲೀನ ಮೂತ್ರಪಿಂಡ ರೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ . ಇದಲ್ಲದೇ , ಭ್ರೂಣವು ಆಸಿಯಾ , ಪ್ರಮೆಚೂರಿಟಿ , ವಿಪತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾವೂ ಕೂಡ ಸಂಭವಿಸಬಹುದು ‘ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು . ಗರ್ಭಾವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅಧಿಕ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಕಾಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಊತ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು . ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ , ಕಿಬ್ಬೊಟ್ಟೆ ಅಥವಾ ಇಡೀ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಊತ , ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ 2 ಕೆಜಿಯಂತೆ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ತೂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾಗುವುದು , ತಲೆನೋವು ಮತ್ತು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉರಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಗರ್ಭ ಧರಿಸಿದಾಗ , ಬೊಜ್ಜು ಇರುವ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು . ಅವಳಿ – ಜವಳಿ ಅಥವಾ ತ್ರಿವಳಿ ಭ್ರೂಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಅಥವಾ ವಂಶಪಾರಂಪರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಇರುವ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಇದ್ದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ತೀರಾ ದುರ್ಬಲವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ತಜ್ಞರಾದ ಡಾ . ಅನಿಲ್ ಎಂ . ಯು ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ , “ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೈಪರ್‌ಟೆನ್ಸಿವ್ ಅಂದರೆ ಅಧಿಕ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡದ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗಳು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸೂತಿ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಆಗಿರುವುದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯದ ಸಂಗತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ . ಅಪಾಯದ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರು ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ವೈದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು . ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಮತ್ತು ಭ್ರೂಣದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಲಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು . ಎಡಮಾ , ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು , ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಿಪಿ , ತಲೆನೋವು , ನೋವು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮತ್ತಿತರೆ ಅಸಹಜವಾದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಎದುರಾದರೆ ಕೂಡಲೇ ವೈದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು ” ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು .
