Ola Unleashes Roadster X Nationwide, Offers ₹10,000 Launch Benefits to First 5,000 Buyers

Bengaluru, May 31:
Ola Electric, the country’s leading pure-play electric vehicle manufacturer, on Saturday announced the start of PAN India deliveries of its newly launched Roadster X series of electric motorcycles. Marking its foray into the electric motorbike segment, the company has also rolled out special launch benefits under its ‘Ride the Future’ campaign.

As part of the campaign, Ola is offering exclusive benefits worth ₹10,000 to the first 5,000 customers. The offer includes a free Extended Warranty, MoveOS+ upgrade, and Essential Care package.

The Roadster X series features a mid-drive motor and a chain drive mechanism, designed to deliver better torque transfer, acceleration, and range. The motorcycles are equipped with an Integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU) and come with a segment-first flat cable design, which the company claims enhances thermal efficiency, reduces weight, and improves durability.

Commenting on the launch, Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric, said, “Scooters were just the beginning. The Roadster X is a bold leap marking our entry into the motorcycling segment. Designed and built in India, it is tailored for a generation ready to ride the bike of the future. With deliveries starting today, the Roadster X will unlock the true potential of EVs in the two-wheeler space and accelerate the move towards EndICEAge.”



The new series also introduces several first-in-segment technologies including patented brake-by-wire system with single-channel ABS, and smart features powered by MoveOS 5 such as cruise control, reverse mode, and advanced regenerative braking.

Ola has also focused on battery innovation. The Roadster X motorcycles come with an IP67-certified battery system, advanced wire bonding technology, and a serviceable Battery Management System (BMS), aimed at improving reliability and ease of maintenance.

‘ಜಾಯ್ ಹೋಮ್ಸ್’ ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್‌ನ ಸ್ಥಿರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಬಾಳ್ವೆಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನೆ ೫೦೦ ಚದರ ಅಡಿ ಅಳತೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಸುಮಾರು ₹೭.೫ ಲಕ್ಷ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬಡ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೇವಲ ಆಶ್ರಯವಲ್ಲ, ಘನತೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡತನ, ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಕೋಪ, ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲಿಕ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯ (ಎಂಡೋಸಲ್ಫಾನ್ ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತರು) ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಗವೈಕಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೇ 30: ಖ್ಯಾತ ಚಿತ್ರ ನಟ ಕಮಲ್ ಹಾಸನ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿತ್ರ ‘ಥಗ್ ಲೈಫ್’ನ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ನೀಡಿದ ವಿವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯು ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದೆ. “ಕನ್ನಡವು ತಮಿಳಿನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು” ಎಂಬ ಅವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗೆ ತೀವ್ರ ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಪರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು, ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯವರು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವೇದಿಕೆ (ಕರವೇ), ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿವೆ. ಕಮಲ್ ಹಾಸನ್ ಅವರು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಬೇಷರತ್ ಕ್ಷಮೆ ಕೇಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿರುವ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು, ಕ್ಷಮೆ ಕೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರ ಯಾವುದೇ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ತಡೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿವೆ.

ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಪರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಪತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿವೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ತಮಿಳು ಬಾಷಾ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಟಿ ಟುಡೇ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ನ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾದ ಜಿ. ಎಸ್. ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ರಾಜ್ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, “ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಾವಿರದಿಂದ ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಹದಗೆಡುವ ಅಪಾಯವಿದೆ. ಕಮಲ್ ಹಾಸನ್ ಅವರು ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದರೂ, ಅವರ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಆತ್ಮಾವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ವಿಷಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
