Bengaluru: Special religious rituals were conducted on Tuesday at the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamigala Mata located in Jayanagar 5th Block as part of the observance of Adhika Masa.
The programmes were organised under the guidance and blessings of Paramapoojya 1008 Sri Sri Sri Subudhendra Theertha Sripadangalavaru, the present Peethadhipathi of Jagadguru Sriman Madhwacharya’s Moola Maha Samsthana, Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamigala Mata.
As part of the special rituals, Narasimha Mantra Homa was performed for Ishtartha Siddhi (fulfilment of devotees’ wishes), followed by bhajane and other devotional programmes in the presence of devotees.
A large number of devotees participated in the religious events and received blessings on the auspicious occasion of Adhika Masa, informed senior manager R.K. Vadindra Acharya.
India’s leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel has launched “Airtel Priority Postpaid,” a new service aimed at delivering a smoother and more reliable mobile network experience in crowded and high-traffic locations.
Announcing the launch, Airtel India Managing Director and CEO Shashwat Sharma said the initiative was introduced in response to customer feedback about difficulties in making video calls, downloading emails and uploading photos in congested areas such as markets, traffic junctions and public events.
The company stated that the new Priority Postpaid service is powered by an advanced 5G network technology known as “network slicing.” The technology is designed to enhance network efficiency and ensure more stable connectivity for postpaid users, even during periods of heavy network congestion.
According to Airtel, network slicing has already been introduced in several Western countries, and the company is now bringing the capability to customers in India through its upgraded 5G Stand Alone (SA) network.
The telecom provider said the Priority Postpaid feature will be available across all Airtel postpaid plans. Existing postpaid customers will receive the benefit automatically, while prepaid users can upgrade to postpaid through the Airtel Thanks app or by visiting the nearest Airtel store.
To access the service, customers must use a 5G Stand Alone-enabled smartphone with the latest software update installed. Airtel also noted that users can check their device compatibility and readiness for the Priority service through the Airtel app.
The company said the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to improve customer experience and strengthen next-generation mobile connectivity across the country.
Bengaluru: Senior advocate Premila Nesargi said that the ideals and philosophies of Gautama Buddha, who enlightened the world with wisdom and peace, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, should be embraced by everyone in their daily lives.
She was speaking after inaugurating the Buddha Jayanti, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti and the 22nd edition of the “Samskruthika Sinchana” cultural programme organised by “Idu Nimma Vahini Kala Vedike” at Nayana Auditorium in Bengaluru.
Nesargi said Buddha emerged as a guiding light of knowledge by winning hearts through peace and compassion. Following the same path, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar fought for the rights of the oppressed and framed laws that upheld equality and justice. She noted that the ideals of both great leaders are highly relevant and essential for the present generation.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Police H. Manjunath Babu said, “The reason we live today under the protection of law and constitutional values is because of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s contribution. Everyone should adopt Buddha’s path of peace and Ambedkar’s spirit of struggle and social justice.”
He also expressed concern over the growing drug menace in the city and stressed that parents have an important role in protecting children and youth from falling into addiction.
During the programme, senior journalists Gandasi Sadanandaswamy, Subrahmanya Handige and Shivaraj Maurya were honoured with the “Madhyama Seva Ratna” award for their contribution to the media field.
Senior advocate Premila Nesargi and DCP H. Manjunath Babu were presented with the “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Award”. On the same occasion, Dr. V. Bharani Raju of Sanjeevini Reiki Healing Center was felicitated with the “Vishishta Seva Ratna” award.
Children presented various cultural performances and entertained the audience during the event. Among those present were “Idu Nimma Vahini” General Secretary Kishore Kumar K. S., event coordinator Chandrika B. V. and several others.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೇ 25: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Act, 2021 ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಮಹಾಸಭಾ (ರಿ) ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದುರುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಒತ್ತಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಆತಂಕವನ್ನು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ನಗರದ Press Club of Bangalore ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಮಹಾಸಭಾ (ರಿ) ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ Prajwal Swamy S, ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಸಭೆಗಳು, ಮನೆಮಠದ ಆರಾಧನೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ವೇಳೆ “ಬಲವಂತ ಮತಾಂತರ” ಆರೋಪದ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಳಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಡ್ಡಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕೆಲವು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ವೈಷಮ್ಯ, ಜಾತಿ ಭೇದಭಾವ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಒಳಜಗಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತಾಂತರ ಆರೋಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ವರದಿಗಳು ಕೇಳಿಬರುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದರು. ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಸ್ಟರ್ಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಮುಖಂಡರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ FIR ದಾಖಲಿಸುವುದು, ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆದು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಸಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಒತ್ತಡ ತರುವ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ದಲಿತರು, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಆದಿವಾಸಿ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತರು ಈ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಒಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ “ಪ್ರಲೋಭನೆ” (allurement) ಎಂಬ ಪದದ ಅಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಾಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಥೈಸುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಭಾರತ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಕಲಂ 25 ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಗರಿಕನಿಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಕ್ಕು ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ ಆ ಸಂವಿಧಾನಾತ್ಮಕ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳ ವಾದವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ವಿಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಈ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಇದೀಗ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಬಳಿಕ ಈ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌನ ವಹಿಸಿರುವುದು ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಾಸೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಟೀಕಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿ, ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಗೂ ಸಮಾನ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ನಿಗಮದ ಕಾರ್ಯವೈಖರಿಯ ಮೇಲೂ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ನಿಗಮದ ಕಾರ್ಯವೈಖರಿಯ ಮೇಲೂ ತೀವ್ರ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು. ಹಿಂದೆ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಸುಮಾರು 100 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನ ಮೀಸಲಿಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ, ಸಮುದಾಯ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವು ಎಂದು ಮುಖಂಡರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಆದರೆ ನಂತರ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ನಿಗಮಕ್ಕೆ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾದ ಸುಮಾರು 250 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನ ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿದೆ. ನಿಗಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನವೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಘೋಷಿತ 250 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಬಾಕಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕವಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕು, ನಿಗಮದ ಕಾರ್ಯವೈಖರಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಚರ್ಚ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿ, ಸಮುದಾಯ ಭವನ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಕಿ ಇರುವ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಮಹಾಸಭಾ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿತು.
ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಈ ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಹೋರಾಟ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು Prajwal Swamy S ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
Bengaluru, May 24: As per the directives of His Holiness Sri Subudhendra Tirtha Sripadaru, the present Peethadhipathi of the Original Grand Institution established in the tradition of Sriman Madhvacharya, special religious programmes were conducted on Sunday at the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha located in Jayanagar 5th Block, Bengaluru, in observance of the Adhika Masa festivities.
The programmes included Sumad Vijaya Parayana, special Panchamrutha Abhisheka, Santana Gopalakrishna Homa (Santanotpatti prayer ritual), and devotional bhajans performed with religious fervour.
Members of the Srinidhi Srinivasa Bhajana Mandali from Konanakunte rendered Hari Bhajans as part of the spiritual proceedings. A large number of devotees participated in the rituals and sought blessings.
