The alarming rise in cybercrime cases calls for immediate awareness and preventive measures to protect our children from digital dangers.

Types of Cybercrimes Affecting Teenagers

1. Cyberbullying – Harassment, threats, or defamation through social media platforms and messaging apps.


2. Phishing Scams – Fake links and emails tricking teens into revealing personal and financial details.


3. Online Grooming – Predators befriending teenagers with malicious intentions, leading to exploitation.


4. Hacking and Identity Theft – Unauthorized access to personal accounts, misusing private information.


5. Gaming Frauds – In-app purchase scams and fraudulent gaming links targeting young players.

Recent Cases in Karnataka

Several cases have emerged where teenagers have fallen victim to online predators and financial fraudsters. In Bengaluru, a 16-year-old boy lost Rs. 50,000 in a phishing scam linked to an online gaming site. Another case in Mangaluru involved a girl who was blackmailed after sharing personal details with an unknown ‘friend’ on social media.

How Can Parents and Schools Protect Teenagers?

Educate on Cyber Safety: Teach children about secure browsing, privacy settings, and safe online behavior.

Parental Supervision: Monitor online activities, use parental control apps, and set screen time limits.

Encourage Open Communication: Children should feel comfortable discussing online issues without fear of judgment.

Legal Awareness: Make them aware of cyber laws and the importance of reporting cybercrimes.

Report Suspicious Activities: Complaints can be filed at the Cyber Crime Cell or through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 29, 2025: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಸಮಿತಿ (ಬಿ.ಪ್ಯಾಕ್) ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ (CSR) ಸಹಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಸಿಜಿಐ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋವಿಂದರಾಜನಗರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ಬಿ.ಸೇಫ್ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಗೋವಿಂದರಾಜನಗರ ಶಾಸಕ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಜಿಐ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀವಿದ್ಯಾ ನಟರಾಜ್ ಅವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷಾ ವರದಿ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಯಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವ 265 ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಆಳವಾದ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 46 ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು, 131 ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳು, 58 ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಗಳು, 10 ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು, 4 ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗಳು, ಮತ್ತು 16 ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಶೌಚಾಲಯಗಳ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗತಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬಿ.ಸೇಫ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಉಪಕ್ರಮ: ಬಿ.ಪ್ಯಾಕ್ ನ ಬಿ.ಸೇಫ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಚಿಸಲಾದ ಮೊದಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ, ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಂತರ ವಕಾಲತ್ತುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಗ್ರ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಇದನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಿಜಿಐ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಬಿ.ಸೇಫ್ ಯೋಜನೆಗಾಗಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಶನ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ದತ್ತಾಂಶ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ವರದಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳ ಮುಂದಿನ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಬಳಕೆಯು ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಅಂಶಗಳು:

ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳಾದ ಆಸನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ಮಾರ್ಗ ನಕ್ಷೆಗಳು, ಮತ್ತು ಪಾದಚಾರಿ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ದಿನದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ.

ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಸಿಟಿವಿ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ.

ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಶೌಚಾಲಯಗಳ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಗಮನ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರು, ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಿನಿ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರಿಗೆ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಭತ್ಯೆ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಈ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ನೀಡಲು 39.81 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಅನುದಾನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಸುಪ್ರಿಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರ ಸತಂತ್ರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯಧರ್ಶಿ  ಉಮಾಮಣಿ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್ ರವರು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸುಪ್ರಿಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶ ಪಾಲನೆಯಿಲ್ಲ?
1997ರಿಂದ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರಿಗೆ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಭತ್ಯೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಸುಪ್ರಿಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ 2011ರ ಬಳಿಕ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಜ್ಯುತಿ ಭತ್ಯೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಭತ್ಯೆ ನೀಡುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಹಿಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಅನ್ಯಾಯಕಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೋರಾಟ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿದೆ!
ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಗೆ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಸಜ್ಜಾಗಿದ್ದು, 2011 ರಿಂದ 2023ರ ವರೆಗೆ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರಿಗೆ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಭತ್ಯೆ ನೀಡುವವರೆಗೆ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರ ಸತಂತ್ರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯಧರ್ಶಿ  ಉಮಾಮಣಿ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್ ರವರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡದೆ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಚಾರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾನೂನು ಹಾದಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ.
