Bengaluru, January 24, 2025: The Karnataka State Armwrestling Association (KSAA) is thrilled to announce the 5th edition of the Karnataka State Armwrestling Championship, set to take place on February 2, 2025, at Nexus Mall, Koramangala, Bengaluru. The championship invites armwrestling athletes from across Karnataka to compete and showcase their strength, skills, and passion for the sport.
The KSAA has been instrumental in promoting armwrestling in Karnataka, nurturing local talent, and creating platforms for athletes to shine at national and international levels. The association’s efforts bore fruit last year when its state champions won 21 medals at the All India Nationals under the BCAI banner. The KSAA remains committed to developing a competitive armwrestling community and providing athletes opportunities to represent Karnataka on prestigious platforms worldwide.

ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ (ಐ.ಸಿ.ಡಿ.ಎಸ್) ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 3 ರಿಂದ 6ವರ್ಷದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಶಾಲಾಪೂರ್ವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಪೂರಕ ಪೌಷ್ಠಿಕ ಆಹರ ವಿತರಣೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಚುಚ್ಚು ಮದ್ದು ಕೊಡಿಸುವುದು. ಭಾಗ್ಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾತೃವಂದನಾ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವುದು. ಬಿ.ಎಲ್.ಓ. ಕೆಲಸ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಷಣ್ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರು, ಬಾಣಂತಿಯರ, ತೂಕ ಮತ್ತು ಎತ್ತರವನ್ನು ನಮೂದಿಸರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ 2020, 21, 22ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೋನ ವಾರಿಯರ್ಸ್ಗಳಾಗಿ ಜೀವದ ಹಂಗುತೋರೆದು ಅರೋಗ್ಯ ಇಲಾಕೆಯವರ ಜೊತೆ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೋನ ವೈರಸ್ಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿ ತಂಬಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರು ಮರಣ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ಅವರು ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಬೀದಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
ಹೀಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇತರೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರು 50 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅದರು ನಮಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಗೌರವಧನದ ಆದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ದುಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರಿಗೆ (ಐ.ಸಿ.ಡಿ.ಎಸ್) ಯೋಜನೆಯ 50 ನೇ ವರ್ಷ ಸುವರ್ಣಮಹೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ವೇತನ ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು:
1) ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರಿಗೆ 25,000-00 ರೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರಿಗೆ 12,000-00 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
2) ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಸಿ.ದರ್ಜೆ ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರನ್ನು ಡಿ. ದರ್ಜೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ, ಗುಜರಾತ್ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಆದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಬಿ.ಪ್ರೇಮ-ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಬಿ.ಆರ್-ಗೌರವ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ವಿಶಾಲಾಕ್ಷಿ-ರಾಜ್ಯ ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ನಿರ್ಮಲ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್-ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಶಾಂತ-ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಹ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಭಾರತಿ ಎನ್.ಪಿ-ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕುಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕಿಯರಿಂದ ಮಾಡಲಿರುವ ಧರಣಿ ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಕರೆತನ್ನಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ಉಮಾಮಣಿ- ರಾಜ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Microfinance has emerged as an impactful tool in ensuring that credit and essential financial services reach the rematest comers of India. In Kamataka, microfinance institutions have Transformed the lives of more than I crore and currently serve over 63 lakh individuals funique borowen) through microcredit loans. The total gross loan portfolio of microfinance institutions in the state has surged from Rs 16.946 crore (Mar-2019) to an impressive Rs 42.265 crore in the last financial year (Mar-24), empowering, women, familles, and communities to thrive.
Microfinance customers in Kamataka have shown an eagerness to explore interventions to ensure family well-being and start new businesses. They have shown similar alacrity in learning about good credil discipline, regular repayment of loans and respect for lending institutions advice to borrow within their capacities.
Mr. Rama Kamaraju, Head, State Initiatives, MFIN stated that “Microfinance operations of RBI regulated entities in the state of Kamataka have traversed a smooth path all along even af the time of demonetisation and Cavid pandemic. Women borrowers from the state have exhibited extraordinary resilience and maintained excellent credit discipline over the years. He mentioned in unequivocal terms that the loans offered by the regulated MFIs have helped changed the narrative from “women development” to “women led development”. Microfinance has received extensive recognition as a strategy for socio-economic empowerment of women, eaming them a well-deserved and rightful rale in decision making in the family. He further added that Microfinance, dovetailed with the efficient Govt schemes on the ground, has managed to alleviate them out of the poverty trap setting them on an upwards trajectory of sustainable livelihood.
Mr. Kamaraju stated that on the other hand, regulated MFIs (NBFC-MFIS, Banks, Small Finance Banka) operate under very stringent regulations & overnight both from RBI and MFIN SRO, All these Regulated Entities are governed by the RBI directions on microfinance and Fair Practices code of the RBI. In addition, MFIN has established robust infrastructure and mechanisms to ensure that member institutions operate responsibly, adhering to regulatory standards, and avoiding wrongful practices. To give an example, currently MFIN is undertaking 2,131 financial teracy workshops under the RBi’s Depositors Education and Awareness (DEA) project initiative across the country, over the next 2 years, MFIN also operates a toll free 24*7 Client grievance redressal system in Vernacular language.
He pointed out that the recent reports of protests against MFIs are from a small section of the informed individuals with the aid of unauthorised entities, indulging in unscrupulous rumour- mongering. We wish to assure you all that we follow a very well calibrated advisory approach and have our eye on the ball at all times. He urged the media to carry out a thorough fact check of any issues being reported on the sector so that the MF ecosystem is shielded from any untoward rumours. Having said that, we are open to talk and engage on the right forum to address any genuine concerns with regard to the microfinance ecosystem and its operations”.

In the past few months, there some stress has been noticed in collections from borrowers who have taken loans from multiple lenders. However, the field reports from December seem to show positive signals of a turnaround, and I leel confident in observing these positive trends over the next lew quarters as things normalise. He added that microfinance institutions play a key role in giving Shishu loans under the MUDRA scheme”
Mr. Anand Rao, MD, Chaitanya India Fin Credit stated “Microfinance in Karnataka has a 20 plus years of history of being part of the rural development story of the state. RBI regulated entities are governed by a strong code of conduct. The challenge the sector faces is from unregulated entities.”
Microfinance is important for the socio-economic development of the nation as it provides resources and capital to marginalized groups and those in the informal economy. Microfinance institutions not only help in increasing the household income of the borrowers but also educate them about businesses and help them improve their financial conditions.
78 MFIN Member Microfinance Institutions (Regulated Entities) work across 36 states & union territories, and 721 districts, including 112 Aspirational Districts ensuring that credit and other crucial financial services reach rural and urban India. Primary customers of Microfinance services are 7.94 crore (around 80 million) women from low-income households.
