Historic 51st All India Oriental Conference (AIOC) 2024 Set to Take Place in Udupi

The Bharatiya Vidvat Parishat is set to host the 51st session of the All India Oriental Conference (AIOC) in collaboration with Sri Puttige Matha and Central Sanskrit University.

With the blessings of 1008 Shri Sugunedra Theertha Swamiji of Puttige Matha, this prestigious event, that started in 1919, will bring together scholars from across India to engage in discussions spanning over 20 themes, including Vedic studies, Philosophy,

Linguistics, Yoga & Ayurveda, Indian knowledge systems and more.

This year, under the leadership of Sri Sugunendratirtha Swamiji of Sri Puttige Matha, a special theme on Bhagawad Gita Studies has been included to discuss its relevance and importance in the modern society.

Over 1000 research scholars are expected to attend and present their papers during the conference. Eminent scholars from across the country have been invited to participate in the conference.

During the Sanskrit kavigosthi titled, Vädiräjayuvakavigosthi young men and women present their original Sanskrit poems. This event offers young poets an opportunity to showcase their literary talents in the ancient language of Sanskrit and promises to be an attraction during the event.

Vedanta Bharathi, Shankara Tattava Prasara Abhiyana in Association with The Mythic Society is Organizing a Mass Chanting Stotras “Namah Sshivaya” as a part of the Suvarna Bharathi Programme a yearlong celebration to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Sanyasa of Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharathitheertha Swamiji the Pontiff of Sringeri Sharadapeeth, Sringeri.

The Programme will see the participation of about two lakh people on 26th October 2024 from 10.30 AM at Palace Grounds, Bangalore. In a remarkable achievement, Dr. Sanjay Bhat, a well-known cardiologist with remarkable expertise in coronary interventions, has successfully performed percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on a 74-year-old male patient with life-threatening blockages in two major coronary arteries. This significant surgery was carried out under the expertise of Dr. Sanjay Bhat at Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore.
The patient presented to the hospital’s emergency department with chest pain persisting for three days. A thorough evaluation, including an initial ECG, revealed significant abnormalities, prompting immediate coronary angiography. The angiogram showed severe double vessel disease, with critical blockages located at the bifurcation of the left anterior descending (LAD) and left circumflex (LCX) arteries, two of the heart’s most vital arteries.
Understanding the complexity of the blockages, Dr. Bhat and his team opted for a procedure known as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using the culotte stenting technique, a method particularly suited for treating bifurcation lesions. Three drug-eluting stents (DES) were strategically placed in the LAD and LCX arteries to restore optimal blood flow.

Dr. Bhat remarked on the procedure’s success, stating, “This was a high-risk case due to the location and severity of the blockages. Besides, the patient was elderly. However, with the culotte stenting technique and the latest generation of drug-eluting stents, we were able to restore blood flow effectively and provide significant relief to the patient.”
Following the procedure, the patient showed remarkable clinical improvement and was discharged on guideline-directed medical therapy. This successful intervention highlights Dr. Bhat’s dedication to providing cutting-edge cardiovascular care to his patients.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು:ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಶನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸಂತ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ವಲಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ 2024 ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು, ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಕೇರಳ ಮತ್ತು ತೆಲಂಗಾಣ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 100 ಮಂದಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು, 15 ವರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಹನ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಕರ್ಮಗಳು, ಆಹಾರ, ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆಗಳ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.

“ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್‍ಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಓಂಂIನ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ದಿವ್ಯಾಂಗ ಜನರ ಅದೃಶ್ಯ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತದೆ, ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಜೇತರು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು, ನಾವು ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ವಲಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ 2024ನ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ದಿವ್ಯಾಂಗ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಶ್ರೀ ದಾಸ್ ಸುರ್ಯವಂಶಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ವಲಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ 2024 ಕಠಿಣ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿತು, 17 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು: 2 ಚಿನ್ನ, 7 ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ಮತ್ತು 8 ಕಂಚು. ಐಸಿಟಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಲಖಾನಿ ಚೌಹಾನ್ ಶಬ್ದ ಸಂಸ್ಕರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದರೆ, ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ಇ. ಮೋಹನ್ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬಿಟುಪನ್ ಶಬ್ದ ಸಂಸ್ಕರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದರು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪಂಕಜ್ ಸೇನಿ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಪ್ರೋಗ್ರಾಮಿಂಗ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಗೆದ್ದರೆ, ರಾಜತಿಲಕ್ ಮರುಗರಾಜು ಡೇಟಾ ಪ್ರಾಸೆಸಿಂಗ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಚು ಗೆದ್ದರು. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮಧು ಎಂ ವೆಬ್ ಪೇಜ್ ಡಿಸೈನ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.

ಡಾ. ಜಿತೇಂದ್ರ ಅಗರವಾಲ್, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಜನರಲ್, ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ (ಓಂಂI), ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಾರ್ಥಕ್ ಎಜುಕೇಶನಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‍ನ ಸಿಇಒ, ಹೇಳಿದರು, “ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ದಿವ್ಯಾಂಗ ಜನರ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಮತ್ತು ದುಡುಕಿನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸ್ಫಟಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದೆ. ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದವರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವಿಧ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳು, ಕಾರ್ಯಪಡೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಲು ಹೊಂದಾಣಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳು ಸಮಾಜದ ಅಡೆತಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ, ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.”
ಟಾಟಾ ಪವರ್‍ನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಿಎಸ್‍ಆರ್ – ಕಾಪೆರ್Çರೇಟ್, ಖಿ&ಆ ಮತ್ತು ಜನರೇಶನ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಪಂಕಜ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು, “ನಾವು ಅಂಗವಿಕಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾವೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಓಂಂI ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ಥಕ್‍ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹಕಾರ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಅನನ್ಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ನೀಡುವ ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡೋಣ.”

ಸೆಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸಮಾಜ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಆಲನ್ ಗಾಡ್ಫ್ರೆ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ, “ಇದು ನಮ್ಮಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಸ ಅನುಭವವಾಯಿತು, ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ಥಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.”
ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸ್‍ನ ಮೆಟ್ಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ 10ನೇ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡವು ಏಳು ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. 2027ರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿನ್‍ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ 11ನೇ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್‍ಗಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ವಲಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ದಿವ್ಯಾಂಗ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಹೈಲೈಟ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ವಲಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯ ಅಬಿಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ಐಸಿಟಿ, ಆತಿಥ್ಯ, ಚಿಲ್ಲರೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ತರಬೇತಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು, ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ದಿವ್ಯಾಂಗ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬನೆಯ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿ, ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳಿಗೆ ದಾರಿ ತೆರೆಯಿತು.
