ಕಾಲಜ್ಞಾನಿ, ಸೂಫಿ ಸಂತ, ವಚನಕಾರ ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನ ಪರಂಪರೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ತತ್ವಪದ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಇಳಿಹೊತ್ತು ಮೀರಿ ಸೂರ್ಯ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂಬಣ್ಣದ ಕದರೆರಚಿ ಮುಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟು ಗೆಳೆಯ ಚಿನ್ನರಾಜು ಮೆಟ್ರಿಯವರು ತಮ್ಮೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತತ್ವಪದ ಗಾಯಕರನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂಡೂರು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹಳೆದರೋಜಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಿಂದ ಕಂಪ್ಲಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದರು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಅಚಲ, ಅವಧೂತ, ಆರೂಢ, ಸೂಫಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಗುರುಪಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತತ್ವಪದಗಳ ಹಾಡುಗಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನವಿದೆ. ಈ ಗುರುಪಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತತ್ವಪದ ಗಾಯನವು ಕೇವಲ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಗಾಯನ ಕಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯದೆ ಈ ಪಂಥಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ನಡೆಕಾರರ ಜೀವನ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಅನುಸರಣಾ ವಿಧಾನವೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸುಮಾರು ಇನ್ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತತ್ವಪದಗಳು, ಕಾವ್ಯಗಾಯನದ ಒಂದು ಕಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಗಾಢವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅನುಭಾವಿಕ ದಾರಿಯೂ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಭಿಕ್ಷುಕರಾಗಿ ತಂಬೂರಿ- ಗೆಜ್ಜೆಕಡ್ಡಿ- ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ- ಹಾರ್ಮೋನಿಯಂ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಂಗೀತ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಊರಿನ ಬೀದಿ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತತ್ವಪದಗಳ‌ನ್ನು ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಉಪಾದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಜೀವನ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರ ಅನೇಕ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಜನ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಿಹೋದ ಸಾಧಕ ಸಂತ ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ತಾತನವರು ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನ ಗದ್ದಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನುಭಾವಿಕ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದನು. ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ಗುರುತಾತನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ತತ್ವಪದ ಗಾಯಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜನಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ತತ್ವಪದಗಳ ಹಾಡುಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯದ ಬದುಕಿನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ತಾತನವರು ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದು ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ದಾರಿ. ಕಾಲಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಸಂತ ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನು ಹಿಂದೂ- ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಭಾವೈಕ್ಯತೆಯ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದವನು. “ಆದಿಮೂರ್ತಿ ಅಲ್ಲಮಪ್ರಭು ಮುಲ್ಲಾ ಮೌನುದ್ದೀನ್ ರಸೂಲುಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಭಕ್ತರು ಪರಾಕು ಹಾಕಿ ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಈಶ್ವರ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ  ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಅಖಂಡ ದೈವವೆಂದು ನಂಬಿ ನಡೆದು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೌನೇಶ್ವರ ಬಸವೋತ್ತರ ಕಾಲದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವಚನಕಾರ. ಈತನು ಪಾಂಚಾಳ (ವಿಶ್ವಕರ್ಮ) ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮೂಲದವನೆಂದು ಕೆಲವರ ವಾದವಾದರೆ ಕುರುಬ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವನೆಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಜಾತಿಯ ಗೂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾತಿಯ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದ ಸೂಫಿ ಸಂತನಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಜನರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ವಚನ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶರಣರ ವಚನಗಳಂತೆ ತತ್ವಪದಗಳು ಕೂಡಾ ಸಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಬಾಳ್ವೆಯ ಬದುಕಿನ ನೇಯ್ಗೆಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿವೆ. ವೈದಿಕರ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಯಾಜಮಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ವೇದಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸುವ ವಚನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತತ್ವಪದಗಳು ಸಹಜವಾಗಿ ಜಾತಿ ಪದ್ದತಿಯನ್ನು ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಜಾತಿ, ಮತ, ಧರ್ಮ, ವರ್ಗ, ವರ್ಣ, ಲಿಂಗ ಇಂತಹ ಯಾವುದೇ ಭೇದಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮುಕ್ತಿ  ದೊರಕಲು ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನ ಗುರುಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧ್ಯವೆಂದು ನಂಬಿರುವ ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ತಾತನ ಗುರುಮಾರ್ಗೀಯರು ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನ ವಚನಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಶಿರಹಟ್ಟಿ ಫಕೀರಜ್ಜ, ಹೇರೂರು ವಿರುಪನಗೌಡ, ವಡಿಕೆಪ್ಪ ತಾತ, ನಾಗಲಿಂಗಯೋಗಿ, ನಿಜಗುಣ ಶಿವಯೋಗಿ, ಶಿಶುನಾಳ ಶರೀಫ, ಕಡಕೋಳ ಮಡಿವಾಳಪ್ಪ ಮುಂತಾದ ತತ್ವಪದಕಾರರ ತತ್ವಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟು ಗೆಳೆಯ ಚಿನ್ನರಾಜು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ತಾತನವರ ಗದ್ದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನ ಗದ್ದಿಗೆ ಬಳಿ ಹೋದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಣಿಚೀಲ ಈರಣ್ಣ, ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮ, ದುರುಗಪ್ಪ ಪೂಜಾರ, ದುರುಗಮ್ಮ ಮುಂತಾದವರು ಹಣೆಮೇಲೆ ವಿಭೂತಿ, ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ರುದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಮಾಲೆ, ಎದೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಲಿಂಗ (ಕರಡಿಗೆ) ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದರು. ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರ ಸಮುದಾಯ, ನಾಯಕ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಮುಂತಾದ ಕೆಳಜಾತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಇವರ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಕಂಡಾಗ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತರೋ ಅಥವಾ ವೀರಶೈವರೋ ಆಗಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿ ಭಾವಿಸಿದೆ. ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತಿಗಿಳಿದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಗುರುಬೋಧೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಶೈವಲಾಂಛನಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು. ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ತಾತ ಎಂಬ ಗುರುವು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಅರಿವಿನ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಜಾತಿಯ ವ್ಯಸನ ಇವರಿಗಿಲ್ಲ.

ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ತಾತನವರ ಗದ್ದಿಗೆ ನೋಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ, ತತ್ವಪದ ಗಾಯನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದ ದಿ||ದುರುಗಪ್ಪನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದೆವು. ದುರುಗಪ್ಪನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತತ್ವಪದ ಗುರುಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೇರೆ ಊರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಊರಾಡಲು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ದುರುಗಪ್ಪ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊರೂರು ಸುತ್ತಿ ತಂಬೂರಿ- ಕಂಜರಿ- ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ನುಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತತ್ವಪದ ಹಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡುತ್ತಾ ಬದುಕು ನೀಸಿದ ಅಪ್ರತಿಮ ಕಲಾವಿದ. ದುರುಗಪ್ಪ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯ ಪೀಡಿತನಾಗಿ ತೀರಿಕೊಂಡ ಬಳಿಕ ದುರುಗಪ್ಪನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಈ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಭಿಕ್ಷಾಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದುರುಗಪ್ಪ – ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮನವರ ಆಸ್ಪ್ರೋಶೀಟಿನ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮನೆಯ ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪತ್ರಗಳು, ಫೋಟೋ ಆಲ್ಬಂಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಾರ್ಮೋನಿಯಂ, ತಬಲ, ಮದ್ದಲೆ, ದಮ್ಮಡಿ, ಕಂಜರಿ, ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ,  ಏಕತಾರಿ, ಗಗ್ಗರ ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಂಗೀತೋಪಕರಣಗಳು ಇಡುಕಿರಿದು ತುಂಬಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆ. ದುರುಗಪ್ಪ ನುಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತಂಬೂರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಂಜರಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ನಾನು ಒಂದೆರಡು ತತ್ವಪದಗಳ ಒಂದೆರಡು ಸಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿ ಆನಂದಾನುಭೂತಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ದುರುಗಪ್ಪನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮ ಕೂಡಾ ಅಡವಿಲಿಂಗ ತಾತನವರ ಗುರುಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ತತ್ವಪದ ಕಲಾವಿದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮನ ಮನೆಯ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾಗಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರನ ಗುಡಿ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಗುಡಿಯ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಾಗ ತತ್ವಪದ ಗುರುಗೋಷ್ಠಿಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮಲಿಂಗಮ್ಮನ ಗುಡಿ, ಗೌರಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಾರಮ್ಮನ ಗುಡಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ‌ಮಹದೇವ ಜಡೆತಾತನ ಮಠ ಮುಂತಾದ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿವೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹದೇವ ಜಡೆತಾತನ ಮಠಕ್ಕೆ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ದಿ|| ದುರುಗಪ್ಪ- ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮನವರ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಚಿನ್ನರಾಜು ಅವರ ಹೊಸ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದೆವು. ಮನೆಯ ಮುಂದಿದ್ದ ಕುರಿರೊಪ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದ ಕೆಂದಗುರಿಗಳ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಜೆಯೇ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಕೆಲವರಷ್ಟೇ ಸಣ್ಣ ಭೂಹಿಡುವಳಿದಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೆಲವರು ಕುರಿಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಜನ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಭಿಕ್ಷುಕರಾಗಿ, ಕೂಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಾಗಿ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾರೆ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರಾಗಿ, ಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರಿ ನೌಕರರಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಿನ ದಾರಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿನ್ನರಾಜು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರನಾಗಿ ಹೊಸ ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಯೂರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬುದ್ಧಗುರು ಬಸವಣ್ಣ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರ ಚಿಂತನಾ ಧಾರೆಯ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಚಿನ್ನರಾಜು, ಅಲೆಮಾರಿ ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಜನರ ಬದುಕಿನ ಆಗುಹೋಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ತಿಂತಿಣಿ ಮೋನಪ್ಪಯ್ಯನ ಪರಂಪರೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಮಾರಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಜಮ್ಮ ಎಂಬ ದಂಪತಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ಸೋರೆಬುರುಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ತಂದರು. “ಈ ಸೋರೆ ಬುರುಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮೂರಿಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ದು ಏಕತಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ. ಇದು ನಾವು ನಿಮಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ” ಎಂದರು. ಏಕತಾರಿ ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ಕಲೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದಿರುವ ನಾನು, “ಈ ಸೋರೆ ಬುರುಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ನೀವೇ ಏಕತಾರಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನನಗಾಗಿ ಇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಗೇ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟೆ. ಚಿನ್ನರಾಜು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮೆಟ್ರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿನೀಡಿ ಇಡೀ ದಿನ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ತತ್ವಪದ ಗಾಯಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ತತ್ವಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುತ್ತಲೂ ಆಲಿಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಕರಗಿಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಸೆ ನನ್ನದು.

Cambridge University Press & Assessment launches IELTS 19,  the official practice tests for learners

New Delhi, 27 August 2024: As co-owners of the IELTS exam, Cambridge University Press & Assessment (CUPA) launched ‘IELTS 19’, the official Cambridge exam preparation resource. The event unveiling was led by Arunachalam TK, Head of Combined English – South Asia, Cambridge University Press & Assessment in New Delhi.
As the foremost assessment of English language proficiency globally, IELTS is recognised by educational institutions, employers, and immigration authorities as a benchmark of linguistic capability. IELTS 19, is an authentic exam preparation resource from Cambridge for anyone aiming for overseas education or work opportunities.

Additionally, it provides sample videos of the speaking test, audio files for listening practice, detailed answer keys with supplementary explanations, and sample writing answers.

• The 26-year-old woman, who had lost eyesight in her right eye, successfully regained vision after the specialized treatment at Nethradhama

Bengaluru, 27th August 2024: Nethradhama, a distinguished name in the field of ophthalmology, has taken another significant step in its mission to provide world-class eye care with the launch of its newest super specialty eye care hospital in Whitefield, Bengaluru. Located next to Nallurhalli Metro Station, this state-of-the-art facility represents the ninth center in Karnataka under the Nethradhama banner, further cementing its position as a leader in cutting-edge eye care services..

The Whitefield Center was inaugurated by Smt. Nagashree PR, a 26-year-old survivor of the Rameshwaram Cafe Blast, whose remarkable recovery has inspired many. After the tragic event, Smt. Nagashree suffered a complete loss of vision in her right eye, which required a series of complex and advanced surgeries performed by Nethradhama’s expert team. Today, thanks to their skilled interventions, she has regained 80-90% of her vision.

Speaking at the inauguration, Smt. Nagashree expressed her appreciation, stating, “I am deeply honored to inaugurate this new facility by Nethradhama, an institution that carries a great legacy of eye care excellence. This new center will undoubtedly benefit countless patients facing severe eye conditions. The care and treatment I received at Nethradhama were beyond exceptional. I never imagined regaining my eyesight after such a devastating injury, but thanks to the doctors here and the advanced technologies they employ, what seemed impossible has become a reality.”

Nethradhama center of excellence located in Jayanagar is one of the few eye care hospitals in Bengaluru to operate a 24-hour emergency department, a critical feature that ensures patients receive immediate and high-quality care at any time of day or night. The Whitefield Center is equipped with the latest in ophthalmic technology and offers a comprehensive range of eye care services, including advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Dr. Sri Ganesh, Chairman and Managing Director of Nethradhama, spoke about the importance of this new facility in advancing eye care in India. “Nethradhama has always been at the forefront of introducing ground-breaking technology to Indian eye care sector. While emphasising on Smt. Nagashree’s journey of recovery Dr. Supriya Sriganesh, Executive Director, Nethradhama The journey to recovery for Smt. Nagashree was arduous. Upon presenting at Nethradhama four days after the blast, her right eye was severely damaged-her eyeball was ruptured, the cornea was torn, the lens was damaged, and the retina was affected by scarring and inflammation. Despite the grim prognosis, the medical team at Nethradhama embarked on a series of surgeries, starting with anti-inflammatory treatment to stabilize her condition, followed by a combined cornea and retina surgery. The team utilized some of the most advanced surgical tools available, including a 3D microscope with intraoperative OCT, which allows for real-time imaging during surgery, and minimally invasive vitrectomy systems for retinal repair.

The vitrectomy was performed by retina specialist Dr. Pradeep TM, while the corneal repair was conducted by Dr. Vineeta Pai. Once these initial procedures were successfully completed, the team waited for the eye to heal before performing a secondary intraocular lens implant. This final surgery, performed by Dr. Sri Ganesh, employed a specialized technique known as the dumbbell technique, which restored 80% of Smt. Nagashree’s vision.

Reflecting on the case, Dr. Ganesh remarked, “Managing such severe injuries is always a challenge, but with the right expertise and the latest technology, we can achieve outcomes that were once thought impossible. Smt. Nagashree’s recovery is a powerful example of what is possible in modern eye care.”

It is the first Indian eye hospital accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NABH) and recognized by the International Society for Quality Health Care (ISQUA).
